Roli Seaboard RISE

Put the slide slider all the way up and try it. Its definitely there on the RISE 49 in the middle. Compare it to any other semitone and it will be easy to hear the 'expected operation' glitch.

Make sure the slide response is consistent on your RISE 49. I just sent mine back for a refund because the keywave response at middle C was inconsistent and choppy, while all others were smooth. It was also graphically noticeable on their app. Pissed me off that I spent $1,000 on this thing and their quality control sucks.

It amazes me that Roli tries to pass this off as "normal behavior". Calling a design flaw normal doesn't mean that it is.

Maybe I'm both blind and deaf, but I really cannot hear anything wrong with the slide response on my Rise around the middle C. Uses quite a bit of time investigating into this yesterday. I Can't see any weird behaviour when consulting the dashboard while sliding either. If it's "normal behaviour" I consider myself lucky that my Rise isn't behaving normally

You have a RISE 49 and not a RISE 25, right?
If you have a good RISE 49, then it must be luck.

Obviously, I'll look into the sliding issue a bit more but so far, I haven't noticed any problems. If my Seaboard has the same problem, It doesn't affect my playing, and then it doesn't matter to me
I'd rather just play and enjoy the instrument than use all my time on locating errors. I understand that this is quite an expensive controller and we're inclined to demand that everything works as it's supposed to. That said, if the issues aren't instantly noticeable and hinder my intention with the Seaboard, I'll rather focus on something else . Everything works for me but who knows? Maybe i AM lucky

But as stated earlier: If there's something wrong with my Seaboard, neither can I hear or feel it.

They didn't say the inconsistencies were a design decision. They just said that, due to how it's built, there are inconsistencies between the two internal boards. Then they said "this is normal", which is frankly unacceptable.

It was a design decision to go with a solution of merging two 25 boards rather than designing a single 49. I'd call that a design decision with acceptable side effects!

I just realized I f***ed myself over by not reading the tearms and conditions correctly. At the time of purchase, no danish stores was listed at Rolis site. Apparently some countries get longer cashback periods than others. That's not OK!

To add further to my pain, I was just offered a platinum account at Gear4music giving me extra discounts. I could have saved an additional €80. That said, I would never get that account had I not bought the Rise 49 at full price earlier.
Oh well....

Roli had a cashback offer at their site at the time of posting. Unfortunately, it's all over now so you'll have to pay full price.
The Gear4music discounts are introduced once you have made your first purchase there. Not much to talk about though, as Thoman's prices are exactly the same as the discounted Gear4music ones.
Basically, prices are pretty similar worldwide when it comes to buying new hardware.

Seems the Rise 49 is just over 1000euros at Thomann, currently. Not sure how long it has been this way, but it seems much less than when I last looked.
