I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

I'm tempted to vote no because i know it won't happen so then atleast I can be right. Why bother with the poll. Obviously music and video are appropiate and there should be a minor forum dedicated to that.

have you seen the preset sequncer?
load your patches up to play one after the other, to a timer?

im going to start using it to measure time, then when my image changes, i know where im up to in my tracks, to get a set together for actual gigs, where i have a time limit! :o
Thanks! I've seen it but I haven't experimented yet. Now that I have a few patches, I'll give it a try!

I'm having trouble with the plug-in version in DAWs under MacOS, where I can't select a camera input. The problem doesn't happen with the standalone version.
I think it's related to camera permissions. When I opened the standalone version for the first time, it asked me to give the app permission to access the camera. When I load the plug-in, I suspect that the host needs to request permission to access the camera but none of the DAWs I've tried (Bitwig, Logic, Studio One, Reaper, Cubase, etc) do that and there is no option to add an application to the camera permissions manually.

Anyone else run into this? I can use the standalone version but I'd rather use it in Bitwig, which allows me to use macros and additional modulators.
I’m actually getting a hard crash in both the standalone and plugin.

I’m pretty sure I tested the camera option before and don’t remember that happening in the earlier versions.

I'll get in touch with their support team.
Now, I also wish VS2 could handle NDI input as well as output. I could also see it being useful to send output from OBS to VS2, and then be able to send VS2 back to OBS.

Exactly what was on my list to figure out next!

Did three videos for a project where I had to talk my process through and I got as far as setting presets on individual plugins and quickly side chaining. I mostly avoided Fairlight before this, so assumed it was possible but didn’t know where to begin.

I think it is a more than (fairly) decent free or (fairly) reasonably priced, DAW.

Hello new to the forum and Ill be setting up a beta release thread soon for a plugin Ive been developing that fits right in this space.

It uses opencv color spectrum analysis translated to midi cc and notes to use live video as an instrument controller.

Apologies if I haven't poked around enough but was this forum ever created? Id love to get a better idea of what other plugins are working in this space.

Nope, never was. The most-interested parties are using this thread for related discussions, though other threads do pop up in other forums...

There's also this thread, but it's really just a handful of us posting in it:

I'm interested in learning more about this, since I currently have three music videos in various stages of production (one being planned, one partially recorded, one in production).
