That would be the perfect solution indeed, modulating the amount of the available modules and their ratios (where available) with the overall amplitude (especially of long samples like instrumental phrases or loops) would yield extremely dynamic/expressive/musical results. I'll just use automation for now.Ah_Dziz wrote: Sun Nov 10, 2024 6:39 pmYou'd think they could just use the overall amplitude that was extracted during resynthesis. It's already in there.Sampleconstruct wrote: Sat Nov 09, 2024 10:58 pm An envelope follower as modulation source would be totally golden...

That would indeed be an awesome feature. I have requested both of those features (envelope follower and iris amplitude as mod) on the Discord channel a while ago. Peter is pretty much open to all of the suggestions and might consider to priortize these features if enough people will suggest it. I think it would be the best to let him know either directly via email or on the Dawesome discord channel.

I also asked for same kind of modulator
As you said, it’s a question of priority level

Straight from Traktion if you want it right now. Doesn’t seem to be on sale elsewhere.

I kind of know what you mean but I think Myth has enough processors to twist the sound inside out and overcome that specific sonic character.elassi wrote: Sat Nov 09, 2024 11:19 pmIt's still resynthesis. And I think (or hallucinate) that I always hear a certain sound ingredient typical for resynthesis. I just don't like it. But this is just my opinion, of course. I also don't like the sound of flangers, that's why I never use them.
The one resynthesis synth that doesn’t have that sound is Sumu by Madrona labs, imho.
I feel with the Halions and myths you are still working at a higher level. With Sumu it feels like you’re working at an atomic level.
Every partial can be pulled apart and flung around.
With Myth or Halion I find that it’s closer to using samples so I find myself swapping out samples more frequently.
With Sumu I can spend hours with just one sample and get all kinds of hugely diverse results
It’s a beautifully weird synth. Or is that weirdly beautiful…?

One of my first patches for ZYKLØP, a new synthesizer by Dawsome which is a stripped down version of MYTH.

Was playing with Myth last night and while I like it very much realized it was probably too much for that computer. I'm also asking myself how much I would actually use it and if it' would just be a beautiful distraction for me. Which is okay in my mind. A stripped down version may just be the ticket for the time being. Depending on price of course.

What all is stripped out of it? 1 iris, the resonator and MPE is pretty much all I need. I suppose the prices and features will be announced moving forward.

I did some comparing for sound regardless of function with Quanta 2 last night as well. I know they're different beasts but again I probably don't need Myth (this is KVR though and what does need have to do with anything?) I do wish Dawesome would follow the Tracktion form and have a native Linux. It would consistantly tip me to the buy column. Anyway, slapping effects on Quanta 2 pretty much fills the same space. So again, what does need have to do with it?Ah_Dziz wrote: Tue Nov 12, 2024 6:01 pm What all is stopped out of it? 1 iris, the resonator and MPE is pretty much all I need.
