"I have privileged information that I cannot share with you that supports my arguments" is the worst and dumbest argument a person could make online. There's only one result from posting this kind of garbage: nobody here is ever going to take you seriously again :tu:

Guess the people all wanted another goddang delay too. I suppose you Reason folk got what you wanted cuz Mattias sure thought that's what you
wanted so he gave it to you. No one to blame but yourselves.
Adding devices isn't necessarily a terrible move IMO but if they're going to do it they should at least add some that aren't boring as hell to get RRP users to bite on the upgrade. All their newer addon REs have been great so I know they can make better stuff than the world's 10000th mediocre VA synth.

Aaaaactualy..... :D

In that 'making of' video, Mattias said they HAD to add some devices because “that's our lifeblood”... which exactly highlights the flaw in their thinking.

13.0.1 just released. Did they just break the Enter function that opens all selected clips in the editor?! Now it doesn't zoom in on the selected clips anymore. It just opens with previous zoom level :(

Is it now possible to install R13 demo without killing my R12 installation?

It says so. My 12 is already broken so I guess that needs a reinstall anyway.

Wow - that was quick - only three weeks after Matze said "We're fixing this ASAP in a point update"...

(a user over @Reasontalk had provided tool as a quick fix two or three days after the initial release that moved the respective files between both folders or sth.... )

these guys really have no shame at all.

And if it takes them 21 effing days just to fix something simple as that... :-o
I think they should pay 199bucks to whoever is still willing to put up with them. :hihi:

They probably fixed it the next day, but their CI-pipeline took the other 20 days to compile the new executable

Yeah...

problem being: the way I understood it CI is where the problem actually originated (was in none of the betas because development itself packed these)

Post

so your samples in google drive or other cloud storage all need to be locally stored. Otherwise it will try and index it all and it all fails, or takes minutes to show up.
In Live i can browse my samples on the fly, locally or cloud based.

Some R12 point updates also had very obvious regression bugs, that should have been caught before release. It seems their CI-pipeline lacks some important test cases. One R12 point update didn't run AT ALL on Windows, if you were referencing an external HD in your project (I was hit by this bug)... things like that should be captured by the test-framework.

As for the betas not having these problems; I think the betas have additional sandboxing, as you can install/run a beta in parallel with the same release version.

I was looking at the Objekt synth recently and noticed there was a 'rent to own' option, paying in installments basically. I logged in today and the option has gone.

EDIT although Klarna option is there (never used it) - maybe that's replaced the older option

@ Investors

Please just make the company realize that the road to success is to start with basic DAW updates like markers, a looper, midi comping, video support or track folders. Please, p-l-e-a-s-e just bring those functions. Customers ask for it for over 10 years!!!

Don't hold your breath for any of that I'd say...

after the R13 desaster they certainly had their chance now to come with a "mea culpa - we heard you" open letter (Waves/Bitwig style) in the meantime, but not a word from them aknowledging that they messed up in any way, which means their heads are so high up their own arse that the chances of them ever getting it out again is pretty abysmal... Reason may not be dead yet, but it*s certainly smelling very funny.
