What about assigning a macro knob to automate sample start, end, loop start, end and length in any of the sample modules?
Seems almost obvious it should already exist, but not as far as I can tell.
Anyone?
Soundsets and presets for Absynth.
Sounds and presets for UVI Falcon "Iterata X".
Bazille soundset - Crystalline Textures 3.

I seem to be suffering from stuck MIDI notes when using UVI Falcon with Reaper.
Noticed it most when using Synth Anthology 4. Probably for the last couple of months.
On a M3 Pro Mac, latest builds of both.

Before going too deep on whether it’s a Reaper or UVI issue just thought I’d ask if anyone else has had this recently?

ok cheers, interested to hear from anyone also using Reaper. Will also mention that I was using an Argon X as a MIDI controller.

I remember getting stuck notes in SA3 in Reaper Win 10 but I haven't used it in quite a long time. I mostly use the individual synth libraries now which don't have that problem. Definitely send them a report.

Speaking of stuck notes I have some stacked goats loaded with a big cut to feed your fuse.

not to devalue your work, but why is everyone only making pads, soundscapes and kind of acoustic soundsets for falcon? why is no one making some techno, edm or just modern electronic music soundsets? seems like falcon is only used for ambient… I don‘t necessarily need soundsets but it‘s a great way to learn how to do certain sounds especially with a complex synth like falcon.

I'm sure this has been asked and answered. But I've been enjoying the modular drums expansion. Is it possible to access the samples for use in my own Falcon patches?

Unfortunately not.

Well, resampling is always an option provided it’s just for personal use.

It's Falcon expansion, so editable in Falcon (not in UVI workstation).
Go to edit tab and copy favotite layer to your new program, or whatever you can do in Falcon. Just like ordinary Falcon patch.

You can also go to to the sample oscillator with the sample that you need and there you can "save sample as.." or you can just "copy preset to clipboard" and than you can paste it in another sample oscillator - in a different layer, program or even a separate Falcon instance.

Thanks for the suggestions folks 🤘👍

Saving preset samples is useful, for example, when using them with a granular oscillator. However, many samples are multi-sampled and assigned to multiple key ranges and velocity ranges, so saving them individually and remapping them to your liking is a lot of work.

If you want to use a preset layer with its original key mapping, edit the filters and effects, add new layers, etc. to create a sound, I think copying layers is useful.

I will explain how I do it step by step, so please use it as a reference, and if there is a better way, please let me know.

1. Start Falcon and select "new empty project" on the startup screen.

2. Select the preset to copy from the library.

3. Select the Parts tab in the left pane and press the plus button in the upper left to create a new part. Select the new part and right-click to select "new program".

4. "Select the original program in the Parts tab" and move to the List tab.

5. Select the layer you want to copy from Layers, left-click the wrench icon on the right and select "copy".

6. Return to the Parts tab and select the new program created in step 3, then return to the List tab.

7. Left-click the spanner icon in Layers and select "paste".

The new program will not have program-level effects, and some parameters may have been automatically set by the script of the original preset, so the sound may be different. However, the layers below are completely identical, so you can freely edit and add. If necessary, you can refer to the original program to set the sound to the exact same as the original.

Many libraries are multi-sampled, so be careful when editing, as you must always edit in batch mode. Right-click on mapping in the edit tab and select "select all", and batch mode should be displayed.

However, in the case of the modular drums mentioned in the question, all layers seem to be single samples, so this caution is unnecessary. It seems that not only samples but also HiHats use drum oscillators.

Hey thanks so much for taking the time to write this up- will get back to you if I've any confusion.

I've owned Falcon for about a year and while I get how it works, it is so f**king deep that I'm sure I've only scratched the surface. Thanks again!
