We're proud to announce that : The Synthix is now 64 bits compatible ( Mac + Windows )

New features :

64-bit compatibility. ( Windows, Mac )

MIDI Cc assignation : Learning when Ctrl+Alt+click, close when assignation completes.

Fixed :

• Crash when clicking into the sequencer without any voice selected in a few hosts.
  Mute/Solo didn't work properly with 1.0.1.
  Sequencer edit : didn't work properly with 1.0.1. in some hosts
  Preset launch time reduced when launching a preset.
  On windows only : text edit background changed.
  MIDI controller panel : settings were inverted. This is fixed

64 bits versions were a huge and hard work on several months. Its now completed. You can expect some 64bits versions of the PolyKB II, PolyKB Enhanced player, Xils3 and Xils3 LE synths in the near future.

Are there any plans to fix the graphics bug under windows7x64 ???
Its so annoying that i stop'ed using this synth (i use DIVA instead).
I reported this serveral month ago, and its confirmed.

(the bug cause all graphics elements, even in the DAW to stutter/freeze - happens in all hosts under win7 - as long as the synthix GUI is open and plays some notes)

On my wish list i have
- some love for the GUI (small on a 27" lcd)
- a way to get rid of this layer locking thing.
- a new copy protection.. maybe the new one from plugin-alliance. (because i cant use this synth on my mobile rig - usb dongle is not an option for me on that system)

so far the x64 (ilok version) of Synthix works very well, congrats ! (win7/studio1 v2)

Will Poly KB player and Xils3 "LE" ported to 64 bit along with the full versions ?
I'll for one probably upgrade them at some point, but meanwhile having them in x64 would be a treat....

Hi Gosh, yes the beta versions, once a bit stable, will be very probably available for registered users

To Jumper 24 : Thanks for the video. I can understand your frustration. Yes of course, we thought we had fixed all the bugs . The x64 versions were a big work, so we're very annoyed there could still be such a bug. You're using Cubase on the video, I myself helped a french user two days ago to install the Synthix on an "average" laptop with no pro audio soundcard and it worked completely rock solid under Cubase 5 and 6 versions.

At some points I had some problems though because the 1rst old version of the Synthix64 was installed (and Cubase did not saw it ). What I did was : We had to uninstall the previous version, then reinstall the last version, then have Cubase make a rescan of all the plugs, and there it worked completely OK. Several fresh install of the last version on a virgin system were tested OK also some times ago.

SO this is not host related.

So a few questions to try to help you :

1/ Under Win7/64 do you run 32bits or 64bits versions of the daws ? If you use Cubase 32 on a 64 bits systems you should run the 32 bits installer, not the 64 : There are now separate versions of the installers.

2/ Do you use the latest version ? If not you should try to uninstall the present version, then reinstall with the last installer, that you can find at the usual location on Xils site.

As a workaround, if the problems persists, you can also run the 32bit version only ( after having uninstalled the 64bits version ) and play it thru Cubase bridge. Its reported very stable as well.

If all the above doesnt fix the problem please can you contact us via the site or PM with details on your system ( OS/Daw versions etc) and your user name. Thanks in advance.

A change of the protection scheme for the flagship version is not schedulled atm. An option for a bigger GUI might be considered. True, we're atm thinking about the layer management. I cant say much more than that. its really a wip.

I see the same problem in:
Cubase 6, X32 and X64
Studio one 2.04, X32 and X64
Reaper 4.151, X32 and X64

Yes the newest version 1.02 - i even searched my harddrive for old xils stuff delete.
Also the same problem with the demo version (so not a ilok problem)
If i remember correctly - The very first beta version of Synthix did not have this problem..
(can i download that somewhere ?)
I also own polyKBII, Xils3.. no problem there..

Sound GOOD !!!!! (please also re-think the ilok solutions.. go the plugin-alliance way !!)

Just did some tesing on my Lenovo Laptop (W520, 16Gb ram, RME babyface) - Same problem on that rig...
But i did a roll back to version 1.0 of Synthix, And that worked like a charm !!!!! So something is changed in your GUI-opdate-thing-routine..
