I am not able to reproduce the crashes when you switch from ASIO to WASAPI.
What happens when you first select "Audio Disabled" then WASAPI? When comes the crash?
WASAPI was tested a lot, it is possible that your ASIO driver behaves badly when ASIO is disabled.

You cannot influence the latency in "WASAPI Shared" mode. Reaper misleads you when it makes you believe that you set a lower latency. Shared mode provides the same system-wide buffer size to all applications which cannot be changed.

Are this report.wer files usefull for you and i should send you new from b11 ?

I am afraid .wer files are not very useful for me. Though it displays which module crashed which was StackHash 4 times and SampleTank 3.vpa twice. (When RapidComposer crashes it displays "RapidComposer_x64.exe"). StackHash often means Data Execution Prevention problems which is why I never recommended using SampleTank because of their software protection tricks (running code in data segments). So if you want to use RC+SampleTank, go to Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings -> Advanced -> Performance Settings -> Data Execution Prevention tab, all these in German. Turn on DEP for all programs, except RapidComposer (Click on 'Add' and select the RapidComposer executable). From this point you are alone There is a big chance that it will work without crashes.

Have other no problems when want change from asio to windows mme or wasapi ?.

another thing. I get always crash when a phrase is chord generator and choose menu "convert to phrase generator" piano run generator or string staccato generator.

Amazing! Yes, these two should be removed from the menu as they have no rhythm generator. Thanks for reporting

DEP switch off is not possible in 64 bit version. there come a message if i want add rc x64 to the list

I do a testsong with only sf2 instruments. ( new composition menu only) here change work. I test with asio for all and soublaster z asio several times. so it seem crash happen only when VST instruments used.

problem is not only sample tank. i get crash when i use in only this 1 track the template with the MUX sound, i send to you. I need not restart RC. when before i use MUX i switch between ASIO and windows mme or wasapi no crash happen. as soon i move the MUX track template on the track, and later the change of audio from asio crash RC. happen also after new start(when ASIO "asio for all" is enable). please test if it work ok with my track template on your system, lets hope you see problem too.

if buffer can not change, then wasapi do not work on my system, it do lots crackle and playback speed is slower. i can send video if you want hear. all other programs have no problem with wasapi. have you win 10 64 ?.

Very good observation! I managed to reproduce a crash when at least one VST plug-in is used!
I expect there will be a fix tomorrow.

when you switch Note Editing mode
Generators still turns to Edited
and it seems only if there is Variations used in the Track or Phrase...

i am attaching a project to test easily,
Tracks has Apply Rhythm Variations and all bypassed when you turn on them you'll get the Edited phrases...
except the Piano Run Gen Track, after you activate the Join Notes Variation, this also will become Edited.
I hope make sense.

Right, generators should not turn to 'edited' without manually editing them.
I am investigating this problem.

When I Hold CTRL+Drag to expand the timeline program is locking up for me, then I have to kill it from the task manager.

I see problem in phrase variation swing. can easy test with the default piano and a chord generator simple interval 1/8. set phrase variation swing to half beat and swing value to 4. Now it happen that the right moved notes due to swing note off stop the next note too soon because of overlap. so the notes that are delay because of swing need be shortend Sometimes the way it work now it sound good when more shorter.

Maybe a nice feature is a slider that reduce note length on the notes that are swing. so can set if like. because when fix swing to work correct, then happen that old songs sound diffrent. if the slider is default 100% then it work as before and when want correct the slider can reduce to value that not shorten next notes
