Meanwhile, it's Native Access that doesn't work on any of my systems... (Lenovo, Samsung, Dell, Acer).
And every time I figure out a work-around, they change it and make me start all over in finding another work around.
Plugins themselves work more often than not. But getting updates or new downloads can literally take a lot of time, trial and error when trying to figure out what they changed to make sure it limits who it works or won't work for.

I understand that, just thought it was a weird segue? "NI might be messing things up but hey Windows so cool, Apple bad! Look at this flying monkey wow!" :hihi:

But anyways!
This you of course know is the typical "it works on my system" logic, that gets used constantly to circumvent responsibility. In this case, if there is a particular conflict with a plug in, there is no hope of a solution, since Kore is dead in the water.

I just think it's weird to brag about Windows being backwards compatible in defense of NI abandoning Kore, ( among other big slash and burn techniques NI does that we are discussing here ). Basically you're pulling a line of defense for NI getting attacked for having similar ruthless policies as Apple in terms of backwards compatibility, by not so subtly attempting to paint it as an Apple issue. :?
He's not circumventing responsibility or bragging, or pulling a line of defence, or painting it. :uhuhuh:

This product was discontinued almost 10 years ago, of course it might not work on some systems or with some plugins, or with some not very skilled users who mess up their computers, then it's someone else's fault.

Yes, he is. When you blame some other manufacture or insinuate that everything is hunky dory still with some product not at all related to the real discussion, it's the very definition of straw man.

ED is usually pretty level headed, but I think it's a bit harder to be when you have a business relationship with the company being judged.

Oh and I like how your judgmental sycophant routine is purposefully made small. Fits the narrative content.

I'm not blaming anyone here, just laying down the facts. Windows is by design more backwards compatible than macOS. It's a damn near miracle that you can even run Kore 2 on Catalina (even if you need to do some extra steps to make it happen). Also I'm just speaking from my experience, and this experience is not exclusive to myself only, but for many other (Windows and Kore 2) users as well.

Sure I'm biased, but this is true for everybody :)

Shifting the narrative onto Apple makes you look, well, more biased than anyone needs to be. Especially someone representing NI.

I'm not shifting the narrative, as I said I was just laying out the facts. There's a difference.

Smart devs don't turn into mac v PC, they just get on with it. Guess NI ain't so smart any more.

It’s going to be hilarious when Apple acquires NI.

I wouldn't bet on that or talk about it as if it were a sure thing to happen. :P

I'm sure any Alchemy PC users would've said the same thing before it happened.
My main tools: Kontakt, Omnisphere, Samplemodeling + Audio Modeling. Unify = godsend. Tari's libraries also rock.

I'm not sure Apple is willing to invest more in music technologies anymore. They don't seem to be pushing that field as of late. They are now turning more to services and content.

Wow, nicely done ED, mission accomplished!

Windows has pro and contra and macOS as well.
I prefer core audio and that mainly every device works driverless then there are some other things.
But yes, i also blame the developers and not Apple here which might be unfair.
But it is simple, others can deliver.
I would be happy if Apple buy NI and integrate Komplete 13 Ultimate collectors edition into a free Logic 10.6 update :)
