I looked at the A140-2 and the quad A143-2, but I think I respond visually better to seeing the ADSR as vertical bars. Takes me back to when I first read about ADSR and there was a classic ADSR graph in the manual accompanying the Acorn BBC Micro.

It’s much easier with vertical levers vs knobs (and especially closely spaced knobs). I love how easy it is on the 2600. This is one of those thing that’s hard to pick up from looking at pictures online… those little levers feel great. I was worried they might feel cheap but they feel great.

I just picked up a great deal on a Model Cycles that should be a great complement to my Digitakt and Drumbrute Impact! The seller also had a Model Samples and offered me a great deal for both, but it’s just two redundant with my Digitakt and overkill for me!

Did you see the time scaling feature for playing half tempo or doubling. And for retriggers you can use the pads to determine velocity instead of setting the fades via the menu. That means fade ins + fade outs, instead of needing to choose. Plus there 500+ samples per project.

Definitely there are redundancies… but I’m thinking of it like a digitakt expansion.

Oh, yes, no doubt the Model models have some goodies that the Digitakt lacks. I just meant that, for my purposes, I don't need the Model Samples when I've already got Cycles, Digitakt, and the Drumbrute Impact.

I looked at Model:Samples before getting a Digitakt, but it seemed stereo out only for the whole mix and no option to get at individual tracks through Overbridge. If that isn’t an issue though it seems excellent bang for buck.

I have a ton of pedal phasers but not many euro modules have spoken to me. The coolest ones always take up so much space! I love my BugBrand Phaser, it works really well within the feedback loop of a BBD or PT delay.

Yes, I'm looking forward to trying that with the split outputs of the Phase Shifter into the FB loop of my Echophons (2).

Me too, but only the ones that stun and kill. I have to say the delay/phaser module that I got in the System 100 series is pretty tame. [..] Still trying to stick to my rule that all effects, sequencers and things like that are on the DAW and I'm focusing on buying analog modules for the rack to provide natural slop and wobble.

The Phase Shifter is analogue. There is a surprising lack of demos available online, but for an FSU unit, I've found the Dreadbox Euphoria (analog 8-stage phase shifter) fairs pretty well. Though it may be attributable to 'user-error'.

Well that was quick. $200 for Samples to augment the Digitakt.

Though I've always loved the Wiard Noise Ring, I have somehow never managed to build a Turing Machine.
Last night I built this:



It's a 4u adaptation of the Turing Machine module, with the Pulses and Volts expanders built in. So far it's a lot of fun.

Sport Mod 2 is finally here! Making itself at home in the testing/DIY-support rig for now. Seems to work properly, I'll probably replace the knobs and jack nuts soon.

Nice! I have a really cool patch going on with SportMod2 right now, acting as a clock source and modulator. It's such a flexible module.

Well I'm in deep now. Just 20 minutes ago I said f**k it and hit the buy button over at Signal Sounds for the Erica Synths Drum Sequencer. I'm on now ordering the Hats-D and Cymbals module then I'll buy a couple of modules a month till I get some good drums.

ah, in that case i do kind of know of them but forgot about them. my missus is a fan of the band and informed me he'd started doing pedals during lockdown. but i was on modular hunts and as im not a fan of the band (don't really know them, not that i don't like them) i sort of forgot
