What’s new in V Collection X?

Great question! Six new instruments have been added to this aural repertoire, including the CP-70 V, the MiniFreak V, and the Acid V, alongside three further entries from their innovative Augmented series: Augmented Brass, Augmented Grand Piano, and Augmented Woodwinds, the last of which makes its worldwide debut here. Moreover, the iconic Mini V and Wurli V have been meticulously rebuilt, integrating the latest technological advancements while streamlining the user experience to make it far easier to access a greater depth of sonic possibilities. V Collection X introduces a trio of inspiring expansion packs, designed exclusively for this collection, and Analog Lab Pro’s hub is the perfect place to explore it all — a one-stop-shop for browsing, editing, importing, exporting, saving, and recalling presets. All in, you’re armed for some serious aural excavation.

I am not disappointed as I can save some money and wait for 11- I already have Minifreak (which is worth having) and no interest in any of the rest.
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

No updates to existing, older instruments?

The quote says the Wurli and Mini have been updated.

Definite pass from me.

I'll be the weirdo, I'm more likely to use the augmented stuff than yet another classic analog emulation. What I really want to see is an update of the 2600. Not because I need that, per se, but because I do think using the 2600 and the sequencer together is fun, but the filters are absolute dogshit in the current rendition. The M12 is ok, I don't think that it's using the really outdated code in the 2600. I don't care about the modular V because it's not fun to use in the same way that the 2600 is. It's awkward old moog with a weird U/I that's tedious.

I doubt that I'll upgrade though, they always want too much money on initial release. My entry point, since I'm on V6, is $149 and not a penny more.

I can see that this is disappointing compared to past releases, especially e.g., v6. Oh look, one of Arturia's own hardware synths that's a current model, yay, and a classic that's been done to death, more yay. Don't get me wrong, I love a 303, but I have an emu or too and Behringer killed the software market on that for me. I love the BevilFish.

When was the last time the Synclavier was updated? It's version V now but it looks and sounds like one of the older ones. I think that one and the Matrix-12 could certainly do with similar upgrades like the Jup-8 and the two Prophet synths which are my favorites.

As long as it's NOT "Augmented Woodwinds" I'm fine with anything :borg:

The Synclavier is all digital and developed with the original developers. AFAIK, it's the same source code updated for the modern era, what exactly do you think they'll update further? Frankly, it's one of the most interesting synths in the collection. I don't think that it needs further development, it is what it is.

It's not even showing upgrade to V10 yet for me, still V9. It's also not on their front page. I think that Sweetwater just jumped the gun a bit and Arturia hasn't updated their website yet.
