Thanks for the feedback, Steve!
Yes, I am preparing beta7 which will arrive with a very useful new feature, which will change the workflow for many users, but I cannot tell more...
Thanks,
Attila

Found it!. Thank You.
Is it correct that this is static at the moment (no dragging of notes) and if You are not at the right zoom level overlapping etc?
A "fit so window" would be nice....

Right, this is not editable at the moment.
The most optimal finger positions are calculated by an algorithm from the rendered notes. This is a one-way transformation.
How would you like to edit it? Would you like to move notes horizontally (in time), or select another string/fret by clicking on a note?
When notes are close to each other, they may overlap, so zooming in is required.

I have this variation for guitar and it doesn't seem to work when I am in guitar tab view.
I can switch it on and off and nothing happens.

For some reason this works for me. Changing the lowest/highest note updates the guitar track, and switch off/on works too.rockbandguy wrote: Wed Jul 03, 2024 1:11 pm I have this variation for guitar and it doesn't seem to work when I am in guitar tab view.
I don't like that the two sliders in the track shows C-1 for both notes, while they should show the same notes as in the track inspector. How did that happen?
Will you try this with the new beta version to be uploaded in a few hours?
Thanks!

Yes, I will try this as soon as the new beta is out.

RapidComposer v5.3b7 is available!
This update includes "note forwarding", an idea by BluGenes (the term 'routing' was deliberately not used here.)
You can set up rules for tracks to send certain notes to other tracks. The notes can be selected by their pitch, length, velocity, polyphony so I think this will change the workflow for many users.
This is usable e.g. for sending long notes to a slow string instrument, or sending low or high pitched notes to other instrument tracks to sound with a different instrument.
What makes it even more attractive is that you can move and transpose the 'forwarded' phrases, and you can apply variations on them.
Usage: click on the "Note forwarding' tab in the track inspector.
Improvements:

- Forward notes to other tracks by multiple rules ('Note Forwarding' tab added in the track inspector). Now you can set various criteria to route notes from a single source track to multiple target tracks

Yes, it's not bad! )) But I would also like copies (options, takes) on each track (1,2,3, etc.) to select options for a set of phrases for the track. quick selection set of sequences (phrases). I could do 20 variations of one track!!! and finally select . Approximately the same way as DP is done for audio and midi tracks.

Hi.
Working now with v5.3b7, thanks.
The note forwarding seems like it will be a very useful addition!
Suggestion -
Currently when we right-click in the Master Track (MT) area, the MT becomes the context, and the MT inspector comes up. OK, but what if the goal was merely to make the MT the context (e.g. to enable 'G' for chord generation) and the MT Inspector is actually in the way at this point in time?
Being able to do a second right-click immediately at the same position on the MT, without having to move the mouse to any other location, would be, I think, the simplest way to dismiss the MT Inspector.
IOW, could right-clicking on the MT become a toggle, opening the MT Inspector if it is not open, and closing the MT Inspector if it is open?
(all the above w/o changing which chords are currently selected in the MT - since that's a left-click thing ...)

You couldn't just use a key combo for that?

One issue with the new NF is when you duplicate a part/line with the structure browser is, it duplicates the duplicates on the forwarded tracks. Looks like when you duplicate the track, the forwarding is reapplied a second time maybe.
