missed that one. I WILL MAKE ONE EXCEPTION.

mind if i use it? working on sax emu. too, but very simple.. 'conical slide whistle with reed model' styley. i don't do all that fancy analysis stuff, only simple waveguiding. different instrumental potential :)
you come and go, you come and go. amitabha neither a follower nor a leader be tagore "where roads are made i lose my way" where there is certainty, consideration is absent.

I'd love to see different saxes emulate - like soprano, baritone, alto and bass and even contra-bass sax too. Plus the clarinets and all the reed-based woodwinds. It would be pretty easy to do once you had the basic models worked out since the only differences are the dimensions, tube resonance and decay, plus the multiphonics and overtone harmonics. The rest is dead simple. Everything is based on a reed, so the only things that need changing are the point frequencies (fundamentals), harmonic frequency (partials) and the multiphonic (different timbre modifications based on input such as breath or attack and intonation of note).

don't be so disappointed when this doesn't happen..

my waveguide models are based on a fdn module coded by someone else, and as such are limited by the functions within the feedback path.. so very simple. i try to offer gui params that affect what casn be affected within the model. "you can do a lot with a tuned delay and some filters.."

guido hasn't ever said, but based on posts from a looong time ago on the se list, i'm gonig to guess he does the ~arturia style thing of having impulse driven resonators at various frequency bands for a ~'additive synthesis,' which would require loads of analysis per implementation...

so really, not that facile...

Nice Bump.
I think we need something creative to do while we're waiting...erm...

... an anagram of Soultrane is Le Anus Rot (good name for a French punk band).

Either someone's really creative, or they have WAY too much time on their hands. :)

Except that you can't say "le anus", because anus begins with a vowel. However, SoulTrane must also be an anagram for "l'anus rote", which means "the anus burps", which is maybe even cooler!
