Hey,
I don't know who you are but I suspect Bitwig would probably prefer not to see you posting stuff about the beta in public.
If Bitwig aprove of public screenshots then I apologise, but I think it's probably not part of their plan at this point.
Peace,
Andy.

Wheeeeeeeew Bitwig actually exists? I have come to believe that it's just a legend, like Atlantis (that greek myth island, don't know what it's called in english) or so.

Well I disagree. I'm not aware of any beta testing process that allows details or screenshots to be leaked in public. Happy to be corrected by someone from Bitwig if I'm wrong, of course.
Best thing to do would be to email them to find out. Better to know for sure, rather than have your beta license revoked, eh?
Peace,
Andy.

A better man than me would make a pun about laying down some tracks at this point...trimph1 wrote:

That's incredible, how that rail has curved like that without buckling (or maybe not, not an expert in these matters

sorry for not so artistic artwork...anyways i only did a simple(totaly NOT FAIR) test vs live9...
took bitwig's polysynth + delay2 + reverb (all init patches)
took abletons analog + pingpong delay + reverb (all init patches)
both with same buffer sizes etc...
played same chord sequence on both...bitwig handled 7 instances on my crappy laptop until crackles appeared, ableton handled 23
again the test is totally not fair, because bitwig's polysynth should be more powerful, as probably is reverb (multiband etc).
after 30 minutes spend in bitwig, it feels kinda like ableton + cubase to me.

Many thanks for the BWS info
Well I wouldn't be surprised that the not even released inst + fx from BWS take more CPU than the "aging" ableton ones.
How do they sound in comparison ?
BTW which cpu does your laptop have ?
That is not good

'Shopped or not (and I don't think it is), Bitwig is for real as I had it confirmed by a very reliable source. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind about that at all.
It IS in beta testing and I assume at some point will be released. I add to these jokes as much as anyone, but not because it's vaporware.

I haven't done any detailed CPU comparisons between Live / Bitwig, but I'm not sure that would be fair until closer to the final release given that the beta might contain additional debug code etc.pc999 wrote:Well I wouldn't be surprised that the not even released inst + fx from BWS take more CPU than the "aging" ableton ones.

my laptop is old core 2 duo, with 4 gigs of ram (modern netbooks probably are more powerful than my laptop).
regarding registration, its very simple, so what not to like(its not the same as abletons, but similar in some way...what i hate is cubase activation...that is probably the worst thing ever).
