Use unison modulator applied to keygroup pitch, you can also assign modulation amount to Modwheel so turning the wheel increases detune (up to +/- 2 octaves which can sound hue and crazy).Oberheim 8000 wrote:Thanks for answer with samples.
I have another question, on layer panel, is Unison Voices. I can set up 256 voices maximum. That would be big sound, but I dont know how to detune. It is possible detune this unison voices, and how?

I look forward to some (more) tutorials - and more time for me to explore. I think I will start with modifying the Reich piano phase script posted earlier, use that to jump into scripting. But the interface is fine on my surface pro 3, very well designed

Okay, so then it wasn't anything I did. I just want to make sure it wasn't user error due to the sample that I used.also had a crash today with IRCAM stretch in Logic 10.2 and filed a bug report.
IN general just use wav samples at your favorite format - mine is 48Kz/24 Bit, some use 44.1/24 Bit, some still use 44.1/16, others go for 96/24 (which increases download size drastically of course), some will use compressed FLAC, others MP3 (not advisable) some may even use cheese cake or chicken broth.

You mean osc pitch? Because I dont have pitch in keygroup. But I am able add modulator unison to pitch. Right click on Pitch > Add modulation > External > Unison. Now it is working. Thanks.Sampleconstruct wrote:Use unison modulator applied to keygroup pitch, you can also assign modulation amount to Modwheel so turning the wheel increases detune (up to +/- 2 octaves which can sound hue and crazy).Oberheim 8000 wrote:Thanks for answer with samples.

But another problem is, some oscilators play in sync phase, that are osc stack and fm. How to change the sync phase to random, like in analog osc or wavetable?
And last, i dont know if it is bug, but change uniform and exponential in Analog osc or wavetable make phase sync with Layer Unison and it is different if it is use as unison on osc.

Falcon doesn't load sf2. Doesn't load EXS24. Doesn't load Kontact. I had to read the first 45 pages of this thread to find that out but those who tried say it can't be done.Sampleconstruct wrote:I think you're wrong, no matter how strong you insist.Lowbflat wrote:First off, Falcon is not MachFive 4. That's ok, actually.aMUSEd wrote:I really want to play with this but need to wait now till I know what the situation is as a recent MachFive owner.
The Falcon synth engine is very nice it that's what you are looking for but the UVI product lacks too many of the features that M53 owners like I use.
I'm not a big synth person. The inability of Falcon to import sf2 and EXS24 files is a deal killer for me. That's ok, others will be able to use this tool.
There have been hints that M5 owners will be pleased with an upcoming announcement. That's nice. If it's an inexpensive cross-grade, I might go for it (or not). If MachFive 4 is on its way, that will be better and I'm in.
Absolute deal killer for me. Dead. Done. It looks cool but I don't need the new synth; never used the one in M5. I already have Biosphere because I have M53.
Not for you to say what I need it to do. If your needs are different, that's ok by me. If there's a really inexpensive crossgrade, I might buy it just in case I have a need someday but it would have to be cheap. Otherwise, I'll wait till someone commissions a project that will pay for the software and time to learn it. Since I'm not known for synth based sound design, that prospect is unlikely.

That makes sense. The only reason I still keep all my licenses on the dongle is because M5 still requires it. I like that UVI and others give you the save to computer option even if I have yet to use it.otristan wrote:Authorisation for M5 soundbank should be on the iLok as well. This is related to the product setting which in the case of M5 is iLok dongle only.Apostrophe wrote:Authorization question. (Not a rant.)
Does anyone know:
Would the MachFive3 requirement for an ilok dongle extend to using its instruments and soundbanks in Falcon?
Falcon allows (ilok) authorization to the hard drive, and since I've had headaches with the dongle I would love to toss it. (M5 is the only thing I have that requires the dongle, and I have another UVI product authorized to my hard drive already.) So I'm just wondering whether I'd be able to use those M5 instruments and soundbanks in Falcon if I remove the dongle.
Any idea?

Its looks like we have different versions. I dont have under "keygroup" section "other". Only under "Internal". And it still not resolve problem with sync phased oscilators, make it random phase.Sampleconstruct wrote:Select keygroup you want to edit->osc pitch->right click->add modulator->keygroup->other->unison->set amount.Oberheim 8000 wrote:You mean osc pitch? Different versions? There is only one release version, look again maybe. I don't have “internal“ here.

Btw, use the same unison modulation on keygroup pan to spread the voices in the stereo field, or on filter cutoff.

Just want to confirm something.
When I save a patch, I only have to save it WITH the sample if the sample is one I created myself. If it's a stock sample that came with Falcon, I don't have to save it. Falcon will find it when somebody tries to load the patch.
Correct?
