A name or a brand should easy to memorize, although there are others who disprove this like hagen dazz or so.

But I hope I can soon get hands on it to make sounds, not even yamaha has made or others with it. I am specifically talking about binaural sounds.

Apropos making sounds, I just remembered that the SY77 had the feature of user defined algorithm for the AFM via MIDI SysEx.
Back in the days AFAIK only Emagic's SoundDiver supported that feature.
So I wonder if that made it's way into Sway?

Some braindumps:
SYops
SYpher (maybe too close to the "Cipher" plugin)
SYren
SYlo / SYlon
SYft
SYzygy
SYntax
SYngularity
SYplus / SY+
SoftY
LegaSY
FantaSY
NoSY / NoiSY
pSYche
Elements (hmm, close to the Waves one)
AWMulation / RCMulation
SZ77 (after the "X' series, they went "Y" for the SY, so maybe this can go to "Z")
PG77 (after the module)

It couldn't be a radio station in the United States. All radio station call signs in the eastern half of the country begin with the letter "W". All the western stations begin with a "K". I would expect the rules to be different in other countries though.
If this were an SY99 emulation, you could call it "99-FM", as if it were an FM radio station operating at a frequency of 99.1 MHz.

I think you're overthinking this just a bit.McLilith wrote: Thu Jul 24, 2025 12:20 amIt couldn't be a radio station in the United States. Try it for yourself:
"Sway FM: The Best Easy-Listening Hits of the '70s, '80s, '90s, and today!". Or how about "Sway 99.1: Napa Valley's Smooth Jazz Favorites".
I mean, sure, none of us would admit to listening to either of them. But I bet there's a "SWAY FM" somewhere in this country.

There is at least 1 exception; KDKA is in Pittsburgh. But Sway FM might not be a bad name for this plugin.McLilith wrote: Thu Jul 24, 2025 12:20 amIt couldn't be a radio station in the United States. Call it F-MTV and I’ll get Richard Blade and The Swedish Egil to endorse it.

Oh yeah, I forgot about KDKA. And yes, I also think "Sway FM" would be a good name.DocAtlas wrote: Thu Jul 24, 2025 4:35 amThere is at least 1 exception; KDKA is in Pittsburgh.
