Debating getting the ultimate membership for a year right now so I can bag the JP8 and the 106, that would've been nice to grab it for $50 like the 909 and 101 heh.

One of the biggest head scratchers for me continues to be why doesn't Roland ever reward people who month in and month out drop $20 a month on an Ultimate sub, but constantly reward the people who spend 20% less on an annual sub

Every December when people pay for their monthly Ultimate Sub they should get 2 free lifetime keys if they have been subscribed for the entire year

Yes I paid right away: $99 IIRC

When I bought in, you get access to everything for year and you decide which legendary plugin to keep. Then I cancelled the subscription right before it was going to renew the next year. I already knew I wanted the D-50, so that’s the one I selected.

Hey surreal, Play 4 Life is only available through an annual purchase. Make sure you are signing up for Play 4 Life though; a regular annual membership will not give you these rewards. This is a promotion we only run twice a year, and the reason we keep it separate from a regular Ultimate or Pro annual membership is because it would be hard to know what to do with people in the middle of their annual memberships. It makes more sense for Play 4 Life to be something that people opt into, plus it’s good to know how promotions do when we release them, see how many people sign up, etc... People can switch memberships for a pro-rated price, but that starts the membership year over. During that time, you have access to all of Roland Cloud and can decide which instruments you'd like to keep at the end of the membership year. We try to give people enough notice about this deal in case they wanted to switch.

We have also been running Ultimate Early access, which gives membership users a chance to try instruments before they are officially released. We obviously appreciate anyone’s financial commitment to Roland Cloud, but annual costs are much higher and this gives a chance to let people try the whole library and potentially get the one or two instruments they were interested in. Implement Roland Cloud ilokUSB so we can be free of that godforsaken DRM. Look at the way Universal Audio, Eventide, SSL and Sonnox have successfully done it.

The rewards wouldn’t be made available until a user had paid for their 12th month (otherwise someone could sub for a month, cancel, and keep the reward.) But it resulted in users demanding to know where their reward was when they were only a few months in to their sub. I guess Roland switched to yearly only to avoid that user confusion and the likely support questions it generated.

There hasn't been an official announcement for the release of BOSS Effects as LTK's but I have been including this feedback every week and BOSS are well aware of this request, hopefully we'll see some movement on it soon!
