I thought twice about buying it as I already have Monarch and Diva (etc etc etc) and a lot of real analogue (P8, modular etc) but I really liked it was it 'was' so simple (I have UVI Falcon and Omni 2, I don't need anything more complex in the software world!)

....I use it with Soundtoys or Blackhole verb after it and it really comes to life, the only thing that matters to me is how things sound after they have been recorded in a mix; this just seems to work (like some compressors or reverbs just seem to work that in isolation or specification may not be all that) so my test is always to record it I hear.
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Don't you like the built-in reverb?
Maybe a good chorus would have made more sense than a reverb...

Post

The build-in reverb is not too bad, but external verbs often are better tweakable.

Yup, that is the purpose. It's a very subtle effect though, because the extra components are largely masked by the much louder main partials. I did encounter situations though where I could just about hear the difference.

Linked a bass patch, sounded good, at least on my headphones :hihi:

JUST NOTICED THAT I HAD THE FADER IN MY DAW'S MIXER DOWN QUITE A BIT (BECAUSE LEGEND PATCHES ARE ALL SO LOUD), SO BE CAREFUL AS THE PATCH MIGHT BE TOO LOUD AT REGULAR VOLUME!

No patch recall/loading in the demo, damn :P

Here's my studio computer. I posted a screenshot from my internet computer a page or two ago. No CPU use when the GUI is open here.

Yep, the CPU load drops to zero after a second or two when the synth is silent and no notes are being played. Whether the GUI is open or not does not matter, the GUI should not use any CPU whatsoever.

Great synth, lots of vintage vibe.
Now 2 of my favorite synths are made by Synapse.

Maybe it is not about whether or not the GUI is open, but whether or not the GUI is in focus, because that could impact the audio engine.

Or it is a DAW-related graphics problem. U-he GUI's for instance cause problems with my graphics for some reason. No idea why...

Which host?' DAW does not = host.

It's about your very old CPU, fluffy.

Post

No, it's not. Again, Legend causes no GUI-related problems or load whatsoever on my computer.

gentleclockdivider wrote:As with the latest synapse plugins dune 2 and the legend .
The plugins are idling when not used and the gui is opened , at first I thought this was because of my low spec ...laptop...
I now have an i5 laptop ,with a dedicated graphics ati card and also testing on my brothers i7 +nvidia .
Both plugins show around 30 cpu usage when not being used ..gui opened ...cpu usage is verry moderate when it comes to audio .
Any one else having issues with this ?
He's saying the same problem exists for him with DUNE 2 as well. Since it has been out for at least a couple of years now and to my knowledge no one else has ever complained about the issue I have to assume it's user error or a system(s) specific issue. As I said and as is shown in the screen shots I provided Legend does not cause any CPU drain here on two different computers/operating systems when the GUI is open or in focus. Same for DUNE 2 on multiple systems with multiple DAWs/Hosts.....No CPU usage.
