I was actually thinking about sending it back.
I got the Beta of the new update. It will come for sure.
They wanted to release at Musikmesse but i think the developer decided the re-check a few things. Besides that the developer was at Musikmesse (from around Tuesday to Saturday) so he did not really have much time to work on this during the wole last week.

I just found your original report here and will try if i could reproduce this in Reaper (or hopefully not reproduce it...) in OS 1.14.

Currently got a lot of work with testing the 64-bit updtaes for Largo and PPG Wave 3.V here...
Besides that and the Pulse 2 update they are also working on finalizing the Streichfett String synth so you see a lot is happening at the moment.

I would appreciate you testing the new beta in reaper. For your information, the arpeggiator of the pulse will set to "on" (or play the arp, whatever) when the midi part plays exactly at the start. So if you press play when reapers play bar is before the midi part you won't get the bug. The most annoying thing is it happens EVERYTIME a midi part is looped and the midi part is plays again!

I understand they are busy with new toys, would be nice if they finished this old one first though. As it is now its very difficult for me to use in a project with the arp kicking in all the time.

I actually sat with the pulse for a couple of hours last night just making sounds and thinking "do I really want this"? The bugs are annoying but hopefully fixable? The matrix is annoying and not having a dedicated knob for cutoff is annoying too not to mention the screen and MASSIVE number!

But I made some fantastic sounds with it last night with loads of character and it is very powerful for the money. It's all about the sound for me. I think I have decided to keep it. I only have about 2 days to decide really. So going to have another play today.

Ingonator,
i understand Waldorf must be busy witbh all their new products (filter, string machine, Pulse2...), but do you know if anything is happening on the Blofeld side ?
Do you know if any OS update is planned ?

I am sure there will be an update but i have no clue when exactly. Multiple 64-bit plugin updates (Both Win + Mac 64-bit VST2, 64-bit VST3, 32-bit VST3, AU, AAX etc.), new Pulse 2 OS update and finishing the upcoming Streichfett is enough at the moment i guess (for both the developers and testers)...

You keep saying you are "sure" the Blofeld will be updated- what makes you so sure?

What makes you sure it will not?

People said there will never be a Largo update and no it is happening and not only that. The new update should even include additional formats like e.g. VST3 and AAX.

There is also a new Pulse 2 OS beta but it was not officially released yet. Last updates were done quite fast and OS 1.12 was a mess indeed (based on multiple reasons) while 1.13 was a lot better.

Blofeld is one of their major products and i am VERY sure there will be an update.

"Some GUI improvements"? What are those?

Like it was promised, but around 10 days later than it was originally planned (where the developer was mostly at the Musikmesse without time to finish this)...

no 14 bit MIDI CC. too bad :(
i was really ready to buy it waiting for an upgrade in this direction.
But for my kind of style precise automation of Filter Cutoff and Oscillator Frq. ( by Hz and not by semitones ) is too important.
I'll miss this great sounding beast :(

Ummm, sorry but the Arpeggiator bug in Reaper seems to be worse! Can someone test this for me. Just load a midi & audio track with the pulse 2, add a one bar midi part with a sustained note and LOOP playback for the midi part.

Play. Does the arp kick in? It does with mine, using P001 Tech Stab. Everytime Reaper loops the pulse 2 arpefggiator kicks in. Waldorf confirmed this bug and told me in was fixed. Well, its not!

Might that have any relation to Reaper's CC chasing bugs when looping under certain circumstances?
