Nice to see the IPad app for Studio One 4 in this short to the point video. (Splice is mentioned but personally I'd advise you to buy it during Black Friday as this deal gave it to you for half price, if money is an issue. A bit of a long wait now, but better than paying more in the long run, if not given second hand)

Would be nice if they ported Studio One to the iPad, even if only a cut-down version.

Yeah something on the android platform to widen the userbase and for those who can't justify the cost of an IPAD would be pretty good also. An equivalent of FL Studio Mobile of Studio One would be cool, but then I'd hope that development of such things would be outsourced to another project team so development of Studio One on the desktop platform wouldn't be compromised. I guess you're talking about something like this..garryknight wrote: Sun Mar 24, 2019 11:17 pm Would be nice if they ported Studio One to the iPad, even if only a cut-down version.

Yes, including the possibility of in-app purchases of extra instruments, patches, sample packes, etc. I use FL Studio Mobile now and again to get ideas down, but I'm not that into the piano roll and the way you put notes down.

Thanks for the heads up regarding the update 4.1.4THE INTRANCER wrote: Tue Mar 26, 2019 8:22 pm Update notes for Studio One 4.1.4 have just been added to page 1.![]()
Main focus of this update seems to be their new Mixer, StudioLive 64S support/integration.
Mostly bug fixes for me, nothing exciting in this update. I wonder when S1Pro 4.5 will be released ? Maybe closer to Summer, i.e. June. Just guessing.

According to the udate circle of V3, we have yet to see at least 4.2 and 4.3...Muziksculp wrote: Tue Mar 26, 2019 8:29 pm

Yeah...and a fair smattering of other things that relates to workflow like multiple musicloop importation.Muziksculp wrote: Tue Mar 26, 2019 8:29 pmThanks for the heads up regarding the update 4.1.4THE INTRANCER wrote: Tue Mar 26, 2019 8:22 pm Update notes for Studio One 4.1.4 have just been added to page 1.![]()

Weirdly, buying a mixer is something I've not needed to do really with having audio interfaces and hardware that I can route audio through like external synthesizers. Switching a phono plug for a XLR plug, takes about 3 and half seconds.
But yeah... 4.5 is what the cards are saying in 2 months time, although they might just throw a spanner at us and give out 4.2 which will provide a few scrapings of meat from the chicken bones for certain users and thus more bug fixes.
Hopefully it is 4.5 because that typically provides almost as much as full point releases.
Here's what 3.2 provided back in May of 2016...

Well this is weird, I started the update, it downloaded, created an installation folder and it's installing the French language version...like wtf..
Anyone else get this ? It should be English.
The irony is that it is now asking me if I want to download the English Manual lol. Hay Presonus, your installer needs fixed.
EDIT: Fixed it myself...
To switch languages: Click on the menu item 'Studio One', (second menu from the right and go down to 'Languages', it's 3rd from the bottom to see the available languages from the pop out menu. Studio One will then restart upon selection.

I've just updated, no language issues here straight to English (downloaded from Presonus.com rather than from within S1 4). Brief check test was OK, I've yet to use it properly.

Besides S4 being my favorite DAW there is still so much to do... Most importantly finish things that were started and not taken where they could / should go IHMO.
So, still:
Waiting for the option to use VST-plugins as MIDI input generators in Multi Instruments.
Waiting for busses to have correctly mapped parameter macros and not all parameters recorded individually.
Waiting for global automation clips that work like MIDI clips including shared copies, easy duplication, moving, cutting, joining.
Waiting for instrument automation to reach ALL parameters of the associated instrument channel.
Waiting for non-destructive per-clip quantization.
Waiting for patterns to have notes that span across multiple steps.
Waiting for patterns where each row can have its own quanization and step count, including automation.
Waiting for pattern automation that optionally allows "normal" automation curves instead of ONLY quantized automation, too.
...
Please vote here for some of the things:

But still doing music with the best DAW
Please finish things that you have started. Don't add new marketing features please.
I am hoping for 4.5...

Am I missing something here or does the way routing works just sucks ?
I've got a Spire bassline full of inserts on the channel, I want to basically bounce the raw audio from Spire so it's not using resources, but I want to keep the audio on the same track with the effects so I can tweak some more, currently all bounce does is give me the raw audio but on a new channel with no inserts which means I have to copy everything over and is just a massive waste of time having to do this when it would be easier for me to route the audio into the same f**king channel I bounced from ?

You can use Track/Transform to Audio Track. Uncheck ''Render Inserts''

^^^ yepp, Transform Instrument Track or Track/Transform to Audio Track is the freezing/unfreezing in the S1 world, for reference: https://forums.presonus.com/viewtopic.php?f=153&t=127
