Yes, Unify has always worked that way.
Is there any way to keep the latched loop going while I bring the new layer in and select a latch for that one? Key combo to add mono latch quickly to a track?
I thought I'd seen John L doing that successfully in YouTube vids, but I can't get it to work.
Not at the moment. John was probably just holding a key down rather than using Latch.
I'd really like it if we could pre-create a number of key ranges for splits in the global settings and select them via some tiny dropdown / other quick selection method and have the note start and note end options there for when you choose to use a 'custom' range.
Nice idea. I'll give this some thought.

BTW lengthier discussions like this are better supported on our own forum at https://forums.pluginguru.com, where you can start a separate thread and we can go back and forth.

Ah didn’t realise, will head there in future. Cheers Shane. :tu:

Sorry if this has been answered before- is Unify resellable for buyers who do not use the product or who wish to pass on the license? Thanks!

Not really, but contact UnifySupport@PlugInGuru.com and explain the situation and we can help you. Are you dissatisfied with Unify?

I really like pluginguru’s omnisphere patches and Multis. Got Unify since it came out, hoping unify can replace omnisphere in the pluginguru for omnisphere patches and multis departemnt

Great to hear that you're liking Unify. I think John will concentrate mainly on new libraries for Unify from now on. He has nearly 50 libraries out already for Omnisphere.

Omnisphere 2.x is a fantastic instrument with excellent sound quality, an enormous bundled sound library, and very deep programming capabilities. Unify isn't advanced enough to replace Omnisphere, but it doesn't have to, as you can use Omnisphere itself inside Unify, along with all your other plug-ins. We're in the process of "Unifying" all the existing PlugInGuru libraries for Omnisphere, to make this quicker and easier.

I tried the Unify demo, and it is very interesting!

But I do not own Omnisphere, so I was wondering about any future plans for "Unifying" other synths?

I think the main argument for the Unify-ed Omnisphere patch reworking was because it helps lighten the CPU load to distribute layers across processor threads. There’s probably less reason for Unify-ing their other synth libraries.

There will definitely be new PlugInGuru patch libraries for Unify + various third-party plug-ins. A few are in the works now, and many are planned for the future, but these are not what we call "Unified" libraries.

A "Unified" library is just the factory patches of a third-party instrument, re-saved as single-layer Unify patches, so they be quickly and easily called up in Unify and combined with other sounds. Because we don't own those factory patches, we can only do this if we get permission from the third-party vendor. Some vendors allow it, others don't.

However, individual Unify users are free to "Unify" some or all of the factory patches for any plug-in they own; it's quick and easy to do. But this is just a starting point. The real fun begins when you add your own patches, create cool combinations using other plug-ins and built-in Unify sounds, and program Unify's macro knobs to take those sounds to crazy new places!

Is there an "idiot's guide to Uniying plugins + patches" somewhere?

Thanks, will have a look. While I'm writing, have you had a look at Pendulate. As its got some cool sounds and free I think it would be great to have some of your presets for it in Unify.
