The power connector on the left side makes that a little bit awkward, but I have a right-angle plug for it so the gap isn't too big.
I just looked on the Buchla site and the official 208 reissue with MIDI is $2999.Behringer today announced Enigma, designed to be an inexpensive, unofficial copy of the classic Buchla 208 Stored Program Sound Source.
The 208 is the synth voice of the classic Buchla Music Easel.
The Buchla 208 is the voice of the Buchla Music Easel from 1972. The Music Easel, right, pairs the 208 with the 218 Touch Keyboard in a suitcase-style case.
The Behringer Enigma is not a straight clone of the original 208. It scales the original design down to Eurorack-compatible format, trades the program card connector of the original for patch storage, and adds DIN & USB MIDI control.
Here’s what Behringer has to say about the Enigma:
“We have stared to design an “Easel 208” inspired Eurorack version called Enigma. While the analog section is an authentic replica of the original synth, which also includes 14 optocouplers, we plan to add total recall functionality with an OLED display and CC control plus USB/Midi.”
i read 300 somewhere?WatchTheGuitar wrote: Fri Apr 15, 2022 10:40 pm So, this would be a little bit cheaper than the official product

Think it’s safe to assume almost no-one who was preparing to fork out three grand is going to change their minds and grab a Behringer instead.
afraid i don't know munich, does google not help? at least find a phone number so you can ring and check?Alex_Longard wrote: Fri Apr 15, 2022 10:46 pm Guys, maybe will tell someone in this topic:
Where in Munich there is a shop, where I can try Korg Modwave?
I want to try this synth suitable for me, or it is better to wait for me when I can return to my Korg Oasys)))
To buy Modwave in Thomann.de now, I not have money, and if I don't understand the synth, it will be very sad
Without a normal synthesizer is boring, and there is no interest with VST.
This is the the reason I haven’t bought a wood rack stand for them. Right now I have a 3D printed 2 tier stand. I keep the 0-Ctrl on the table top and it works, but I’ve seen some 3 tier wooden ones I like… but if there’s that 4th. Doesn’t that wood rack just seem like a waste?vurt wrote: Fri Apr 15, 2022 8:45 pmi currently have them flat on the table, and yes, the power leads are a painfoosnark wrote: Fri Apr 15, 2022 8:23 pm I've been running my 0-Ctrl and Strega side by side on KVGear Ramp Racks (which I don't think are available anymore, but they're just basic small angled shelves) in front of my modular case.

i like the idea of the stack, makes them look like a complete unit.
my only concern, as soon as it arrives, i put the synths on it, take a photo, open the internet to post photo, get notification make noise are releasing the fourth desktop synth...![]()
Thank you Vurt for idea, vurt wrote: Fri Apr 15, 2022 11:17 pm afraid i don't know munich, does google not help? at least find a phone number so you can ring and check?
A good problem to have!vurt wrote: Fri Apr 15, 2022 8:45 pm my only concern, as soon as it arrives, i put the synths on it, take a photo, open the internet to post photo, get notification make noise are releasing the fourth desktop synth...![]()
I keep thinking something sample based, like a version of Morphagene would make sense. then again, Strega showed it didn’t need to be as basic as following 0-coast and 0-Ctrl.foosnark wrote: Sat Apr 16, 2022 2:38 pmA good problem to have!vurt wrote: Fri Apr 15, 2022 8:45 pm my only concern, as soon as it arrives, i put the synths on it, take a photo, open the internet to post photo, get notification make noise are releasing the fourth desktop synth...![]()
No idea what they would do next if they keep making stuff in this format... I don't think anybody could have predicted the Strega.
ha! i mentioned in justins thread, i could see some sort of morphagene/mimeo crossover, so we could be right!elxsound wrote: Sat Apr 16, 2022 2:45 pmI keep thinking something sample based, like a version of Morphagene would make sense. then again, Strega showed it didn’t need to be as basic as following 0-coast and 0-Ctrl.foosnark wrote: Sat Apr 16, 2022 2:38 pmA good problem to have!vurt wrote: Fri Apr 15, 2022 8:45 pm my only concern, as soon as it arrives, i put the synths on it, take a photo, open the internet to post photo, get notification make noise are releasing the fourth desktop synth...![]()

I wouldn’t mind another Strega like device. Seeing what SOMA did with (I can’t remember the name), where touch increases the frequency of triggers. I wouldn’t mind something like that without as many disclaimers for getting a jolts of electricity.
My M is out for delivery!zerocrossing wrote: Mon Jan 03, 2022 6:15 am I’m probably going to get a Waldorf M in May. Christmas was light this year, but things are looking promising. I’ll probably part with my Peak to make room… but I’m not entirely sure. I’m still sorting it out.
Last year I picked up a bunch of plugins and got a Chase Bliss MOOD for Christmas. Fun stuff.
