When we talk about the synth range Synx1 never had Soft-eLicenser but for Xils3 & 4 this option was added last year so i guess v2 will get it as well.

Xils stuff got soft-iLok, not soft-eLicensor. Anyways everyone the beta for Syn'X 2 is up on the Xils website. It indeed does offer soft-iLok.

I stand corrected. I meant the Soft-iLok not the eLic regarding to your original question.
PS. Off the record it's called eLicenser not eLicensor.

Iirc Syn'X 1 got the soft ilok protection in its last update, around the end of last year.

Syn'X 2 also has this option.

Syn'X 2 PA RezBassLeg + BP Pad

Legato Bass + Pad. Creamy filter :)
See, now THAT is an amazing filter. That's the kind of filter that 99% of the synths out there are missing.

Wow! Now THIS I can't wait to get my hands on.
I agree, sounds very nice :)
Glad you like it, guys. I'll try to post more examples, as they come.

A 3rd one. This one use the Advanced Edit Mode and will trigger different layers ( synthesizers ) in addition of the *main layer* when each note is played. It's a bit subtle on this example, and you can do some much more drastic things, but you can nonetheless clearly hear it.

Thank you for the info. I only know about Xils3 & 4 last year not Syn'X1. Was it after that?

Xils stuff can be authorized on either iLOK "or" e-Licenser. You just need to download the proper version for the kind of key you are using.
EDIT: Sorry, I just read the "soft" word, so, perhaps you are right. However, I don't understand why something that gets authorized on a USB e-licenser cannot be authorized on a soft e-licenser, since the license can be freely transferable for one to the other and vice-versa. The e-Licenser manager takes care of that. Since I have the keys, I always get the software authorized on them - it's safer.

Sorry, if it has been asked before but will this Update be free for owners of Version 1? Thanks

Post

It appears to use the same license so I think so, which is very cool.

thanks amused, this is also what I'm hoping for (there is also no comment on an update fee for version 1 owners in the description of the beta on the xils labs site).
cheers

Just got the email from XILS where they wrote: "Syn'X 2 presales have stared & Free Upgrade for All Syn'X owners." :)

As a long time Syn'X (called "Synthix" in the past...) owner i am pleased about the update (especially as this is free...) and just downloaded the Beta of Syn'X v2.0. Will have a look ASAP.

Just got the email and can't wait to see if the demo works without any problems. If it does, will definitely be getting this one as I loved Syn'X though never getting around to buying it because of Syn'X 2 coming out so soon.
