Curious about a Purple Electrics 57 mic £29.00 it has a transformer, unlike other cheap 57esque clones.

Brooding for a better acoustic, sub £250, Sigma, Alvarez or Ibanez?
Ibanez AAD50 - Advanced Acoustic Series, plastic nut and saddle, but it seems to ring well. £169 with enough change to buy a AKG 170 SDC?
Any thoughts?

I bought a Boss Dual Cube LX, since I had no amp at all.
Had it about 6 months and have barely used it. It can sound pretty good with my Telecaster but the delay/reverb nob latching to time instead of amount is such a dumb & annoying feature I have to say I regret the purchase.

Well, I've given up on my Eastman E6-OM.
Got this instead. Not really a looker, but a better guitar.

Ahh. But wait! I had tried to get my hands on the more expensive FS5, but they are very difficult to lay hands on. I put a deposit up at another store, but they bumped their ETA back to end of June. Got a call from the guy, the FS5 is in. So, I'll be able to compare them directly. The FS5 has some differences, the obvious one being that it's made in Japan, not PRC.

Bought a Tech 21 PSA 2.0 from Thomann. Firsly, it's tiny and not the rack slab I remember from back in "the day" (i.e. 90s). Back then, I liked the thought of Tech 21 stuff more than in practise as I went through a SansAmp and Trademark 30 before given up. Then I went into a studio that had a PSA and I really liked my bass though it. Been wanting one ever since but the rack was impractical after I stopped gigging and sold my rig (Peavey T-Maxx with 4x10 cab). Roll on 3 decades and Tech 21 release it as a pedal and promptly overprice it. Wait a few more years till Thomann drop the price to a very nice £159 and I jumped on it. All the nostalgia in a nice tin which also sounds OK on guitar

I miss MindPrint. My TRIO needs a big brother.

I am still looking for the ultimate WYSIWYG desktop (read: no expression pedal) hardware processor. The NUX Trident announced at NAMM looks pretty promising. It has some menus and an editor, but most of the controls are physical knobs on the face of it. I have a Strymon Iridium, and I hate to give it up, but the only FX units I could see pairing with it are the Plethora X5 (no drives/dist, but lots of ease of use with toneprints) or the HX Effects (which makes getting to parameters relatively easy). But I'd still love to have physical, dedicated knobs and switches for everything on the unit.

Broken record alert but the item I just mentioned is a MIDI controlled 100% analog (and knobs) dirt box of great breadth.

If you are looking for any time effects, other than hardware BBD, then may I suggest keeping it plugin as the inevitable mixing changes will be much easier with little to no quality loss over hardware. It's what I do with guitars, synths and bass.

Now that I've modded(well my tech did) my Telecaster modern player with a pair of Lace Golds and a SD Prail I've dedicded it's time for a Pod Go in my life.
I thought about getting a THRII to replace my 10 year old onw (bad amp selector dial) But I've decided on a Line 6 Pod Go.
All the sounds fit to hear and some that aint.

I've got the Yammie FS3 in my possession. It's very good…if you know a tech/luthier. The FS5 is supposed to be here on Monday. I'll compare them and keep the best one. I've never liked Yamaha guitars, but the FS3 sounds like a small-body spruce/hog guitar should sound, and the scalloped braces give it oomph.
Then I have to sell the Eastman.
Then I have to not buy any more guitars.
