I would rather the Bitwig devs not waste one minute of time on something so meaningless.
Why you left Bitwig?

have you ever thought maybe at the moment, music isnt for you, and your time might be better spent in photoshop or a video program? you seem to be in a more visual arts mood latelyTHE INTRANCER wrote: Fri Sep 03, 2021 4:42 amIt's restrictive for the reasons I gave in my previous post, which was what I meant. You need to pay for bugs to be fixed that they carry over to new versions, so I can understand why you wouldn't want them to spend time on GUI customisation, but whether you like it or not, how the GUI looks affects your mood and music and that of your environment in which you use it in. Ofcourse you can always use a third party utility to change how the colours on screen look, at least on Windows.pdxindy wrote: Fri Sep 03, 2021 4:10 amThere is not one reason it is important to me to customize a DAW. Crows are special in their own way. Some years back I stepped out of my house with my car parked on the street. 3 crows were sitting on the car and started cawing at me. They hadn't done that before so I asked them out loud what they were doing. They just hopped away.
I got in the car, turned the key and nothing happened. Then I realized I had left the lights on and drained the battery. I looked up and the crows were now sitting near my front door and laughing at me.

It works wonderful in Linuxhoxclab wrote: Thu Sep 09, 2021 8:36 pmYour loss. I think it’s one of the best DAWs out and certainly on Linux which is where I’m heading to full time shortly.fieldframe wrote: Thu Sep 09, 2021 8:26 pmThis bug (and reading that they have no plans to fix it) has actually put a stop to my buying Bitwig on the current crossgrade sale. I've really enjoyed using the demo, but this is the kind of thing that's going to keep me on Ableton until Bitwig devotes a few more resources to cross-platform spit and polish.sQeetz wrote: Mon Jul 26, 2021 5:48 pmWhen a plugin window is open (and focussed) the mouse pointer icon changes to the ones that would be shown if the plugin wasn't there.

Happens with all plugins. I thought that the update with M1 support could maybe fix it, but it didn't...
I know it's kinda minor, but it bugs me.![]()
It works wonderfully on Linux

You probably already heard this story about crows, but if not..pdxindy wrote: Thu Sep 09, 2021 9:21 pmCrows are special in their own way. Here at the University of Washington they did most of the studies on crows that have people posting the videos of them solving complex problems you see on youtube etc. The main scientist who studied them as a student graduated and came back to the department to give lectures five plus years later. The crows were all captured from around the area and eventually released. They remembered him, and when he would get out of his car to go to the hall a massive murder of crows would start yelling and stalking him. They seem to have taught other crows about this jerk who made them do tricks for seeds, because his harassment went on every time, and was oddly specific to him!

It's not a compelling argument at all to insinuate your thing onto everybody. It is about how conducive is the vibe or whatever, sure, but all of this regarding things all being so wrong needing your correction or major tampering with tells us of your personality, not our needs; and taken as a whole, day after day, smacks of a malcontent. When <everything is a minefield>, the common denominator in talking of 'everything' is the person talking.

Although I think they feel good when they shit on such unknown monster and there is no response!
Anyway, back to Bitwig! The thing that I see very underrated are the synths! I know the Grid got all the attention (deservingly) but the other smaller synths are really excellent! The problem there is no enough good presets for them, but when I begin to make my own, they are really very good synths!

I find them so... even the humble Polysynth has grown on me. I kinda dismissed it at first.
