Thanx will give it a go anyway,

aciddose wrote:notelogic as midi plugin: yes i can definitely do this, when? i cant say. i really need to spend as much time working on xhip as possible. when i rework the notelogic in the near future for the items on the todo list which require it, i'll probably seperate it into it's own plugin at the same time.

amused; what? xhip? or the other plugins you asked for? same deal, i really need to spend all my time when i'm coding on xhip so i can hurry up and get beta 7 out. these small side projects have sidetracked me long enough at this point. once beta 7 is out however i'll almost definitely do those plugins. i think you can get a sampling of the eq plugin i mentioned here http://xhip.cjb.net/xhipeffects/release ... arameq.dll

seems actually pretty nice, not sure what's supposed not to work properly though...

thanks for the note logic thingy, and since you seem open to esoteric requests these days, how about a version of the filter with an extra sidechain input to feed the env follower ? :P that'd be nice IMHO.

cheers

all after beta 7 is out of course :P

Inbuilt randomizer!
How hard would that be to implement?

Post

I'm taking a wild guess here, MaliceX, but I'm thinking the reply may be "after beta 7 is out".

Gotta love inbuilt randomizers, though.

could be something to add after beta 7. i'm going to look through these suggestions and add them to the to-do lists on the site.

from the xhip site:

2007.07.10.1936 "ALPHA 0.6.13.0"

0.6.13.0
http://xhip.cjb.net/xhip/releases/v0/b6 ... 6.13.0.dll

this is important: this alpha series will be unstable, some significant changes will begin to take place and the whole synth just might not function at all in some releases. we're going back into the type of development that alpha really stands for.

up to this point the alpha and revision versions have been highly stable, and for the most part compatible between themselves. this is not going to be the case for any alpha13 release, so please keep that in mind.

again: this alpha phase will not be stable, please continue to use 0.6.12.10 if you want a stable alpha version.

now release info:

- changed patch internals to floating point datatype
- fixed some resulting bugs and fixed still more bugs which were hidden until now and may have caused crashes in the future
- started to move data around to prepare for the improvements coming soon to the patch formats

begin testing please! fly my monkeys, fly! bwahaha.. wahaha....wahahahahaa *cough cough*

ooh ohh, ahhh ahhh ahhh!

Was ist das ? Das ist ein Knight rider ?
Nicht das is einen alpha 3.1425296 und einer beta 3.1415926535897923846
Gut ! Sehr gut ! (and hence the poster quickly climbs up a tree to attain another banana in order to convince AD to produce a sputum sample for examination and diagnosis of his cough).

basically what needs to be done is the internals need to be slightly redesigned so that you can apply negative modulation. this happens for example when you use the bender in the left direction.. you expect that you should get negative values of cutoff in this case and that isnt currently possible.

after that, i fix up the notelogic and the "control" page parameters so that i can save them into the patch files. currently some randomly placed flags are used and i need to make this more uniform, in the same format as the synth internals.

then a new patch format is designed and tested for the synth and notelogic data.

at this point, some of the notelogic parameters are changed so that you can set them to "patch" or "default" mode. when in default mode they will not be loaded or saved into patches. when in patch mode, patches will be able to load their own configuration for the notelogic settings including voice mode, glide mode, unison, etc. this information then gets saved into the patch format as well.

then, this new format containing this new data needs to be tested for a couple weeks to make sure it all works correctly.

if you continue down the list you should start to understand what needs to be done based upon the short version, most of the time. if you have any questions about specific to-do items ask me and i'll give you a detailed explanation.

It's crashing when you play many notes at the same time and you exceed the polyphony limit. :D

- fixed notelogic bug you just explained, need to clean up the logic here
- fixed loading of riff names/filenames
- changed parameter display to show riff # and name/filename when selecting pw with pcm wf

Cheez that was quick AD :D! Whole 16 minutes!
