Thanks for the heads up. This is a nice surprise. The new bank is quite big, and yeah, there are a lot of really good presets in there. The Prophecy didn't really click for me before, but I could see myself actually using it now.

And they added a global output boost just like their other synths..
I am happy :)

Yep. I had the exact same feeling. It seems Korg's engine tweaking efforts have paid off, as I reckon it'll get regular use here now! A surprisingly nice update.. :tu:

Big thanks to Korg! The Prophecy 1.5 update was a great surprise!

I was just thinking about how the Prophecy was deserving of a new sound bank. The factory presets have always been awesome and these new patches are very cool! It shows how incredible the Prophecy is and it has really stood the test of time.

The Prophecy could've been released today and would still be a fresh, unique and modern synth. I hope people who never owned a Prophecy or had a chance to play one don't overlook the plugin because it's an emulation of an 'old hardware synth.' It was ahead of its time. Also, glad to see good use being made with the plugin's ability for polyphony

I don't know if Korg monitors this thread or others, so I'll probably email this suggestion also, but I'd like to see an easier way to switch between poly/mono without having to go into the FX tab. Also, a way to 'favorite' a patch without having to enter into the browser. Example:

Something like this would not only give the option to easily switch between poly and mono, but would also serve to show if it's a polyphonic or monophonic patch. The user would still go into the FX tab to adjust other settings, such as the max polyphony. And then the star to favorite a patch could be located next to the patch name?

Fantastic - so much improved, it's so much closer to a Z1 now, hope that means that's coming next.

Z1 would be a big hit! I anticipate it would be the best selling soft synth for Korg.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Just got Monopoly after so many years I recently became interested. The V2 is truly a great plugin really it's very refined. It's not for everything but it suits my style. The full poly option takes in into new territory and resembles any full featured modern poly synth.

i have a hardware expanded Z1 but the battery has died and it’s soldered in - hard to replace

Oh, so you know the hardware. I've only seen it through the shop windows back then.

Is the physical modeling synthesis is the only difference from Prophecy? How good is it? (Compared to modern synths like plasmonic for example).

It's great, not as detailed as the models in my VL70 or something like Respiro, but they are all designed well for expression using the XY pad, aftertouch and other controls on the Z1 so it feels like a very complete instrument. Plasmonic is something else though - more complex in some ways but it doesn't really have detailed models of particular instrument types like the VL and Z1 do.
