we had am own forum for 16 years... but german DSVGO (GDPR) last year made it impossible to keep it.
We have overall a good experience on FB or YT. Generally a very friendly and polite tone... contrary to what I often experience here. Sorry to say that.

msvs, sorry if my words came thru unfriendly, it wasn't meant like that by me. I love Avenger. I don't think you can have a real discussion on a platform like Facebook.

What about a dedicated "Vengeance / Keilworth" section at the kvr forum then?

msvs wrote: Tue Mar 05, 2019 10:22 am I think you mean the guitar loop module... yes we are making progress and maybe have something to show, soon.
There are some infos from time to time... but not always here, we focus on our social medial channel on Facebook for example. On FB there was a guitar recording pic last week, btw, which shows that we still working on the new guitar library
Okey! Nice! I thought it was a guitar sounding kind of OSC engine (resonators).

Yes, I follow you there but it's a bit quiet there too (users too) :ud:
Missed the picture though.

A short "news update" on your web page would be great! To have ALL news at the same place.
And off course here too but it's easy to miss if the thread gets busy.

PS. I've wrote 2 bug mails to René but got no answer this time, he must be really busy :hihi:

I write them here to see if anyone else got them:

1. The chorus mix knob value load the default value when opening a preset you saved with 10% for ex.

2. When you target the phase with Random A,B,C,D it doesn't change every key press, only after 7-12 key presses it will change the phase.
(I only want a small part that's why I don't use the random in the phase itself).

Thanks

Post

no its not a resonator module, we have something similar already with the new comb filter type, introduced in one of the last updated. Will check the random thing

@msvs.
I have a question about the shaper Shaper when it is on polynom. Mute the osc 1 and mute drums. When polynom is dialed in 100% and osc 1 is routed to an arp you still hear the arp/polynom. Triggerd by the arp creates a ticking sound. Is this normal behaviour? Just wondering When it is normal I would like to know why, because I would think when osc's and drums are muted the sound should be gone. Only way to mute it is to go to the mixer and slide down the fader of the osc's. Searched for polynom here but can't find it on the forum. Thanks in advance!

That's correct. Mainly the difference is that people here are impolite because they are anonymous. On facebook it's more personal.
I've taken to many insults here also, so I won't participate here anymore.
Still it's good to share some releases...
My sounddesign: Synth1/Ex5/D-50 patches https://goo.gl/zE3pkk
My stuff: W10x64i7 15" laptop, Reaper/Cantabile3+Synth1+Avenger on stage+NordStage2+Samson Graphite 49
Loving new VPS Avenger! Check my skins! https://goo.gl/MBNJHj

It's way easier to block critics on fb & yt or your own forum. That's how you create a bubble full of fanboys praising the lord

Post

Quick tip for you guys if you want to see what chords are playing on the piano while using the arp chord mode go to zones and you will see in real time the notes you are playing while using the arp chord this is good for me

And where were you personally insulted in here? I find it pretty curious to praise FB and youtube as a good discussion platform. Since common psychology says the opposite.

Facebook never will have a real and honest feedback about software products and there are a lot of more people that doesn't know yet anything in the same way kvr members knows about it (for instance plugging developers, people who knows about programming and audio software configuration ext...; not all of them of course).

What I see in kvr is that here everything is straight to the point (yes there are people that might be disrespectful, rude and trolling), but not all of them are like that, I mean everyone needs clearness about things and sometimes very critical discussions will have place; at the end how we would advance as society if we don't address the different issues?...

Post

When you once were the king of your own forum, you're simply not used to criticism. People here also are skeptical and don't forget if some devs scammed them or have massive fails in their history. Straight to the point and direct like you said you like to respond too.

I'm personally less interested in discussion, I'm more interested in INFORMATION.

The best place for the kind of information that generates between people online is a forum, where it's organized and searchable.

As i said before, how much useful info is buried in this thread? Who's gonna search through 567+ pages?

How about a forum where only facebook members can join? If such a thing exists.

YT and FB are like this: msvs (or anyone for that matter) shares a picture/link/video/preset and all people are liking it, 100 comment "nice!!!" another 100 "hey, Manuel, when you're doing the Italo Hands-Up vol 10?" - the reason I quit the Avenger group, nothing happens there except for a continuous a$$-ki$$ing fest. This thread have actually valuable information although immensely spread on hundreds of pages.

I dont want a Forum here atm
in the FB Avenger group you can ask your questions about functionality, bugs and features, also and you will get response from me or others.

Should I ask the same question again on facebook? O and I'm not to fond about using facebook. Privacy issues etc. I really like the interaction between you (mssv) and the people here. I really feel that the way of communication here is really good. Told this to a friend just because of the effort you give here to respond to people and said all manufacterers should be like this. I prefer the forum here, but hey. That is just my opninion. Still thanks msvs
