I'm ok, personally. It's my "thechnology" that needs some care... My internet connection is working bad (please avoid Tiscali!), my computer had little problems and I've blown some channel on my mixer, a Yamaha 01v (sold out "as is" and replaced by a Behringer DDX).
But mainly I'm very busy with my job, taking out almost 10 terrible hours daily, and the very little spare time I've left is useful for just 1 or 2 things... and sometimes I need some rest...
Also, oh well... I've been busy trying to learn to play sax (ehm... the very basic things...) and to understand its physics.
I was drawing the first draft of a GUI for the sax plugin, when my computer crashed before I could save the work. When these things happen I feel very discouraged and I need some time before starting everything from scratch.
Days should last 48 hours!
). I'm not surprised you don't want to sit in front a PC in your spare time as well as 10 hours a day at work. But I'm pretty sure that, if you can clear it patent-wise, you could sell the sax model for a tidy sum. Plenty of armchair sax-players here

Nothing much worse than the feeling of losing your hard graft and work thus having to redo it..
Have to pick yourself up and do it again. Please let us know if you need any help though! I'm sure the many talented graphics artists would lend a hand if it meant we can make things easier on you!

the important thing is youre not dead.
maybe should learn to back up files more often tho?
especially since im starting to believe there is a PM sax curse.

Guido, good to hear from you, and sorry that work and mishaps have been eating up your time and good cheer. Regarding sax names:
Ziophone sticks, and will Google nicely, without turning up false positives. But it will come in last in alpha listings.
Mr Sax, though obvious, inspires respect, and ties in with Guido's other legendary offerings. Putting sax in the name helps i.d. it among a vast universe of plugs.
SoulTrane is not bad, but you risk Don Cornelius descending on you with a team of bad-ass lawyers, or flogging you to death with his weave job. Not to mention irking descendants of the great Mr John. But you could get away with...

BlackBird doesn't connect to sax in an obvious enough way for me.
There's also Saxman if it's not too sexist. (Sorry, Saxperson doesn't have the same ring to it.) Think Beatles: I'm the Saxman,, yee-aahh, I'm the Sax-Maaaaan.
Saxman Pro if you think it might cost a little something.
Saxman Free = monophonic
Saxman Pro = 4-voice polyphonic and costs $20
If getting sued by descendants of John is not an issue, I like Trane'Tone better than SoulTrane. Also, Miles'Tone and Trane'Tone go great together. The demo could be a tune from the early Miles years when he played with John.
Regarding my earlier suggestions concerning portamento, chorus, pwm, and analog oscillators, I think folks are not quite getting it. It's always gonna sound like a synth. Having more than one paradigm for what a trumpet can sound like is a *good* thing. So is using more than one technology to get there. "Dialed in on some presets," "dash of seasoning," and "not a whole new plug" mean just what they say. Keep what's good, but add more options to let the user get a warmer more fanfarish tone. I'll wager if those tools were available, people would make some beautiful presets that combine the physical modeling with analog methods to create a richer sound. And if you don't like that sound, just use the pure PM presets. Hey, since when did choice become a bad thing?
Personally, I value the contribution made by trumpet players. When they're not in jail, on drugs, or screwin' the pooch, they're spot on! JK
Tony, I respect your contributions to this thread, and your "Take It Off" demo is probably the most realistic trumpet sim I've ever heard.

Also I think Col'Tone roles off the tongue a little better than Trane'Tone or how about Louis Jor'Tone

Guido, Good to hear you back on the board here. Sorry for all of your PC problems. Hopefully, it won't take you long to regain what was lost. I guess as someone posted earlier, Back ups are handy at times like these. Anyway, hope all is well. Take care!

Glad to hear that Guido is alive and kicking, shame to hear that your PC isn't that alive and kicking.
Take your time, but not too much time. Been waiting since January for this beast, and by far this is worth waiting a while or two for.
