Irritating installation. I installed it on my win10, where live 11 works flawlessly. It installs, but when i want to start it, nothing happens.

For Windows Live 12 needs a CPU that has AVX2. So that's at least a 5th generation Intel® Core™ i5 processor or AMD Ryzen processor. If not, you can install it but it'll not run.

I agree, but there is so much to get in to with Live 12 it will be a slow burn I think...

I think it might be because some people think it's just purely for live performance, and can't be used in a studio environment. Which couldn't be further from the truth.

Phew! I have an i7 5820. Never occurred to me to check if it would run Live 12.

Do someone know if it's possible to deactivate the peak-hold of 10 seconds on the channel meters and just have the pre Live 12 realtime peaks?

What is the best stock instrument in Ableton Standard now would you say? I'm flirting w/ the idea of not adding any or many external vsti's to the plugin list in Ableton 12 to see what a more stripped down approach would be like.
