I did just that. I bought the glue maybe two weeks ago and today the drop and it had the discount.djshire wrote:If I buy The Glue soonish, then The Drop, will I still get a discount? Just wondering, because sub for a pair of great plug-ins is a great deal even without the discount.

Got my Drop and had no problem with the loyalty discount, you just have to realize it adds it at the last minute right before you buy. Can't help but feel I just picked up the bargain of the year, and to think this filter isn't even finished yet just blows my mind!

bandpass is just HP combine w/LP so just activate both of HP and LP and you have BP. as for notch not sure how to set that up in The Drop. perhaps that'll get added or perhaps it's just a matter setting the right Freq so they overlap... and adjusting the offset/spacing parametersDubLifeSD wrote:I just downloaded the public beta, how do I set up a band pass or notch filter? Or are they not available in the beta?

he's already said there will be more.. specifics of which are somewhere in this thread.DubLifeSD wrote:Hmm I want to modulate separate bandpass filter on L/R channels, doesn't look like I'm able to. hope more filter types get added.

You can form a bandpass using the high pass and low pass, and then using the Offset knob to move them both together. The Spacing knob will move the Left and Right signals in opposite directions. There is no notch filtering mode in The Drop.DubLifeSD wrote:Hmm I want to modulate separate bandpass filter on L/R channels, doesn't look like I'm able to. hope more filter types get added.
(edit: No more filter modes will be added to The Drop, there will only ever be a high pass and a low pass filter routed in serial. I am adding more circuit models)

Notching can be done if there is a dry signal + inverted filter signal. This is partly why I recommended it.andy_cytomic wrote:You can form a bandpass using the high pass and low pass, and then using the Offset knob to move them both together. To form a notched signal from an LP and HP filter you need to process the filters in parallel and subtract one output from the other. I looked into this for The Drop but the notch formed isn't deep enough to warrant inclusion in the plugin, it didn't sound that good and just make the whole plugin more difficult to use. You can do it yourself if you want by using an modular plugin device like Plogue Bidule, or Energy XT or something else to route the audio as I have described above.
Please don't buy The Drop if you need a notch mode. There are other filter plugins on the market with a variety of modes including notch.

Not much point to be an early adopter then other than to help with bug testing?
I will wait to try it when it is more complete.
