I programmed the audio algorithms in Eos. Adam and Chris at AD did the GUI, VST/AU code, all the plugin bits.cyphersuit wrote:Hi Sean,
Just a quick ot question here: i read on gearslutz (discord3 topic) that you programmed audio damage eos?
is this true?

I like to think of Valhalla threads as being like an Altman movie. Lots of simultaneous conversations, semi-improvisational, and Shelley Duvall.Sampleconstruct wrote:In these Valhalla threads about 150 topics get discussed simultaneously, parallel universes....

"Alien" is basically an Altman movie in space. At least the scenes with multiple crew members interacting. Especially Harry Dean Stanton.hibidy wrote:Ima bite. What do altman and shelley duval have to do with alien?

Timewarp mode? Continuously variable down and up sample modulation between two points. I'd like to go lower than 10khz. Forget the 90s, gimme the 1890s.
By the way, speaking of cheap gear I like the trashy, dirty reverbs on the Roland D110. I'm guessing they're like what the d50 has, but worse. Sounds good using way too much.
The thing is, with modern digital it's so easy to get bright sounds (excessively so, I find in a lot of cases) it's rewarding to look for interesting ways to filter your sound. I imagine it's the opposite situation as the old days where high end was precious when things like tape bounces and general noise reduction would shave it off. I think a lot of high end often sounds cheap because it's an easy way to add volume and grab attention, without having anything that's necessarily worth listening too...
