Thanks thats good to know. However, I think I saw somewhere that there's a software editor for the Tetra, which could make editing a whole lot easier. Being able to double up as an analogue drum module is a big plus for me.

There aren't really any good Tetra software editors.dcfac73 wrote:Thanks thats good to know. However, I think I saw somewhere that there's a software editor for the Tetra, which could make editing a whole lot easier. Being able to double up as an analogue drum module is a big plus for me.
DSI really missed out on a ton of sales by not addressing that issue.

OK, I'm confused. They recommend Windows Media player as a playback device for the update, but I can find no way of selecting the pulse 2 as an output device. Help?

I'm not sure how it is supposed to work with WMP, but an alternative is MIDI-OX. It also installs a tiny program called MIDI Bar, which you can select a MIDI device output and play the OS update MIDI file on.zerocrossing wrote:OK, I'm confused. Anyway as mentioned above the MIDIBar tool from MIDI-Ox seems to work nicely.

Hm... I got MIDI-OX to... kind of work, though not via USB. However the "kind of" part is that I now seem to have a Pulse 2 that's on a "Receiving system v1.14 screen with a progress bar that's stopped 3/4's of the way and MIDIBar has played the entire file.Ingonator wrote:To be honest i have never checked with Windows Media Player yet. will maybe give a try.barryfell wrote:I'm not sure how it is supposed to work with WMP, but an alternative is MIDI-OX. I got it. I think it was because my MOTU MIDI Express may have been sending clock. I just used my Macintosh via USB (which I couldn't make happen on my Dell for some odd reason) and it worked like a charm. STUPIT WINDOWZ.zerocrossing wrote:Hm... It seems to be substantially cheaper purchasing one of these units overseas and shipping it to the USA (almost 200 USD cheaper). Does anyone know if I would run into power voltage issues if I attempted to do so?

The power supply should be compatible to 120V (the US version's power supply is 100-240V).
FWIW, we sell it for $629 after coupon codes.

Check their price for the Rocket + Pulse 2 combo. With coupon codes you can almost get the pair for what some shops are charging for just the Pulse. Mine just got delivered last week.chaosbringer wrote:$629 new? Holy crap that's a good deal. And you guys are only an hour and a half away from me! Is the offer available in store?
I'm a believer.
EDIT: Also, I'm on Windows 7, but I used Waldorf's SPECTRE utility to install firmware updates on both my Pulse 2 and my Rocket (and the Blofeld, of course). I have no idea why they recommend using Windows Media Player when they already have a program THAT THEY WROTE which does it just fine.

Yeah I saw that, but I can't see me having use for the Rocket. I just bought a TI2 in March and haven't had much time to use it xDUltimateOutsider wrote:Check their price for the Rocket + Pulse 2 combo. Funny enough, I just sold my TI2 and used some of the proceeds to buy the Pulse and the Rocket.chaosbringer wrote:Yeah I saw that, but I can't see me having use for the Rocket. I just bought a TI2 in March and haven't had much time to use it xD
