Both bits of hardware I bought a few days apart arrived at the same time, a Meris Polymoon delay pedal and a Endorphin.es Two of Cups sample playback module. Both work brilliantly. Only slight pain was I don’t know where the hell I put my little SD -> USB thing so I will have to play hunt the thimble around the house again. I need the SD to swap out samples and get the vastly improved latest firmware onto the module. Still though from what I’ve heard it’s great. Been using the hardware delay and reverb as an FX chain over everything coming from the modular and it sounds “gert lush”.

I installed pan head screws onto my LinnStrument today as a finishing touch to my hardware modifications, and have been writing up a "LinnStrument Darker Mod" thread for the Roger Linn Design board, but it is still a draft after 4-5 hours of intensely focused writing. I still need to take some professional photographs of it with my column stand, so I will be doing that over the course of the next few days. I am aiming to release the thread by June 19th or earlier so that I can refocus back to developing my proficiency on the LinnStrument.

Can’t get over how cool this. Yeah, it’s not perfect, but I’ve got Push in my lap, while getting ready to fall asleep.

I finally finished writing up my LinnStrument Darker Mod thread in the Roger Linn Design board. This entire project took about 3 months from start to finish, but I have been dreaming of a hardware modification like this for over a year. Now that it is done, I can go back to developing my proficiency with the LinnStrument.

Rearranged stuff. Akemie's Castle is back in the main case, my i2c trio (Sweet 16, Teletype, Just Friends) is in the Pod 60 and West Pest is on possibly temporary couch synth duty.
Strega moved in with the Minibrute 2S. WitchBrute works a lot better for me than BrutePest did. I had a super nice jam with them and found there's a ton of cross-patching potential, and I can easily flow from really doomy sludge to haunting pure tones. I have to say that the combination of MB 2's mixer section and patch points works extremely well for that sort of thing, and it's probably a lucky accident rather than intentional design. It's a very different vibe than pairing Strega with 0-Ctrl and honestly... I think maybe better. (I love 0-Ctrl, but where I've been happiest with it as a "keyboard" is controlling FM voices or playing Mimeophon like an oscillator.)

Dicked about on modular all weekend then wrote a parody of Prince’s 1999 just on guitar with lyrics about Partygate. Recorded it and despite not hitting most of the notes in the vocal stuck it out to get it out of my head. Standard.

Yesterday and today really highlight how I can procrastinate. Recording something that almost brought tears to my eyes and I got to a good place to stop. So I start listening to other people's music on YouTube and bandcamp and discovered an interesting label I've never heard of and go through their catalogue to find I really like some of it....Yada yada, it's after 1am and I am dead tired so go to bed and feel like doing fuckall today.
I mean, it was a good weekend - I found some great music I've never heard of and that always makes me happy.

Redid my last track and reposted it. Still CBA to tidy the vocals but it actually sounds like a song now.

Due to the Anyma Omega requiring mains power, my battery-powered self-contained LinnStrument live music setup is now longer viable, so I am looking to replace every battery-operated component with more substantial, but reasonable hardware upgrades. It used to consist of these main components:
- LinnStrument with an Anker PowerCore Mini+ (and custom battery holder)
- Synthstrom Audible Deluge
- JBL EON ONE Compact
- Bose F1 series
- Bose L1 series
- Electro-Voice Evolve 50M
- Turbosound iNSPIRE iP3000

Installed some Dilithium Crystals in the flux capacitor, then made some music.

I would make music, but have been unable to reverse the polarity of the neutron flow.

No problem, just reverse the battery cables........WatchTheGuitar wrote: Tue Jun 20, 2023 3:09 pm I would make music, but have been unable to reverse the polarity of the neutron flow.

that’s electron flow, neutron flow is a trickier beast. It takes a lot of sonic screwdriver.PatchAdamz wrote: Tue Jun 20, 2023 4:17 pmNo problem, just reverse the battery cables........WatchTheGuitar wrote: Tue Jun 20, 2023 3:09 pm I would make music, but have been unable to reverse the polarity of the neutron flow.![]()

Spent more time getting used to working in just Push Standalone. I’ve used Push 1 and 2 for years, but it’s different when there’s no option for a mouse and it’s limited to just Ableton Live fx/instruments and sounds.
It’s not bad, just different. I also spent time downloading the extra Live packs so I’m ready to go, even though I’ve been mostly recording my own content for the past 2 years.
Later this week I’ll add modular into the workflow, using the CV tools out from Push. Hopefully it works

After extensive research and comtemplation, I decided on the Bose L1 Pro32 with Sub2 Powered Bass Module as my next/final upgrade to my PA system. The main reason why I chose it over the others was because the Sub2 Powered Bass Module is ergonomically designed to be lifted due to its tall but narrow shape, whereas the others are more uncomfortable doing so even though they are in a similar weight class. The other reason is that 180 degrees of horizontal coverage, but no vertical coverage, is fine for my applications because the only live situations I prefer are when the audience is eye level with me.
So today I went to Long and McQuade to order the L1 Pro32, and next month I will get the Sub2 Powered Bass Module.
