Can I ask what is holding you back?
I took awhile but that was because I was procrastinating changing from XP32 to XP64, when I did I never looked back.
And happily using Windows 10 64 bit

I am not proud to be on 32 bit but if you have an otherwise stable system which works for making music it is a pain to go 64 bit and needs just the right timing to take the plunge.
So you use a 32bit system for making music? Or a 32bit DAW? There's a difference about that.
64 OS and 32 DAW - Machine was purchased a long while ago and I installed things over a long time not having any serious intent to make music so was done with a rather relaxed attitude. It was right on the cusp of whether to stick out 32 or go 64. System works sweet except for memory so a bit of a case of the devil you know.

Hindsight is of course a wonderful thing.

Anyway sorry to derail, just means this is a no go till the future switch whenever that might be. In part probably sour grapes I cannot check out the latest new synth. :(

I'm on 64 bit and I'm still pissed that I didn't go with an I7 instead of an I3. So here I am stuck with 16 gig RAM and having a bitch of a time going beyond 30 tracks with some of the synths I use.

So even 64 bit isn't the sure fire "make everything run" solution that you think it is. When my OS finally goes, I'll be upgrading big time.

Great video! Great track!

Really nice breakdown of the individual tracks.

Take a look!

Let me know what you think.

msvs wrote:I created a live demonstration video yesterday night... it shows just around 80 presets (out of 700) but its still 1.40h of video. I hope its not too long :o But if you watch carefully, you will see there are many styles apart from EDM possible, too :) (If you want to see some Sequences with Drums etc, jump to 0:57h)
There will soon be videos, which will show every module and section and its features in detail.

edit: oh, Caine123 was faster
So looking forward to this synth.
Please make a large library with traditional sounds for it also.
Not only dance oriented.
Just looking for a decent allround synth that can do nice sampling/rompler and a decent synth.

The question of the poll was if people still use 32-bit plugins though, not if they're still on a 32-bit host, using 32-bit plugins only. In other words, the people who voted yes in the poll will for some part just bridge the 32-bit plugins in a 64-bit host. Probably for a big part. Propellerhead Reason is already 64-bit only, Cubase will follow with the next version. Other hosts will surely follow. IMO, it's a really good idea considering a switch, if you're not dependant on plugins, which are available as 32-bit only.

This is not correct information. As far as I remember, not a single U-he plugin is properly cracked. They are all time bombed. You may THINK they are cracked, only to find out that half a year later it doesn't work correctly any more.. or even a year later.

U-he protection is pretty damn rock solid.
Urs said there were working warezed versions of one of their plugins. No idea which one though. And i don't know why that would be relevant for this thread either, as Manuel already stated that it will be a dongle free copy protection, probably soft eLicenser (?).

Wow! It is a brave movement, but an excellent movement in my opinion :tu:
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

That's absolutely brilliant! I'm 100℅ in and I sincerely hope the people out there appreciate it, too.

KVR loves Serialz (C) :D

Good, not sure I really need Avenger as I already bought Rapid this year but I'll surely check out the demo.
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

Does the sample playback support looping or even some sort of time stretching?

I will make it quick as not to derail, but as it was asked why.

1) Some 32 bit plugins - bridging is a compromise with sometimes instability as an issue. (I know I bridge some for memory purposes now and sometimes they vanish from my project when hitting my mem limit despite being isolated from the 32 app and running in J-Bridge as a separate application)

2) Old sound card with 64 bit drivers as yet untested on this computer and Window 7.

3) Current 64 OS/32 DAW system works very nice except for memory, is that guaranteed for 64bit ? Something nearly always screws up when doing a mass install/authorization.

4) Very, very large amount of software and plug ins to install. It is likely to take me 2 days or more.

5) No guarantee of install and reliability headaches post switch. There is always something.

6) I have a small C drive 64GB SSD, I concern that install footprint is going to be an issue for 64bit (possibly wrongly, maybe someone knows and can PM me if 64 bit installers/.dlls will be the same install footprint ?). I have just 7.5GB left right now with 32 bit music installs.

7 Currently very musically inspired and in a production flow. Also plain and simple time factor. I need to be having a musical rest period and do it then so there is no conflict between wanting to get creative and having a I.T./Install/Authorize fest.

So it is not just a "I think I will do that Saturday afternoon" kind of situation. Installing Trilian alone is best part of 3 hours !

When you have a largely working PC system (even with memory work arounds) you rock that boat with caution.

Reluctantly I struggle on with the devil I know and right now for me personally Avenger as 32 bit would have been rather nice.

There will of course come a tipping point.

Prepare yourselfs that Avenger will be cracked in few days after release. Seriously. But i am happy that you made this decision. I will buy Avenger now for sure. Thanks.
