I'll reply, then read the thread. I wonder how many other people say:
"I'm not a musician per-se, but a lover of music who likes to express their thoughts and feelings through the one single-most constant throughout my life.
Music is everything to me; it only follows logically that it'd become my main interest as far as creating goes."

Sorry, was that too serious?

I haven't read the thread, because I really don't have time....too busy creating!

"Why am I a Musician"....you might as well ask:

"Why do I eat...Why do I breathe...Why do I take a crap every day"

Because I have no choice, because otherwise I would die, because it feels good to get this stuff out of my system.

Sorry if that sounds crass or trite. It's 100% truthful!

For a sense of wonder.

That simple.

I could fart in tune while still in diapers, and my parents soon realized they could profit from such a prodigy.
On one of my many talk show appearances during this time...I believe it was Jack Parr...he gave me a harmonica hoping that it would keep my hands occupied while the show was being broadcast, since I had a propensity to "dig and scratch" due to the excessive chafing from my natural talent. Fortunately, the irritation that resulted from my well tuned bilabial fricatives left me no choice. I placed the harmonica in my mouth in order to free my toddler hands for a soothing crack rub. My sigh of relief was great enough to produce a note from the harmonica.
The rest is history.

For a serious answer,
It's all I ever wanted to be since the beginning of my memories. I can't explain why and I'll never know the answer.
There's no family history of musicians, but my parents did indulge my fascination up to a point.
I guess I was pretty much born with it, if that's possible.
Now all I have to do is carry the weight from not acting upon it and making it my primary source of life. :|

because music is my second language and i'm the creative type of guy, so it's not enough to make love with others' music, i have to pull it off my little jack.

when i was a kid i was compared to other kids and i have always been accused for not being able to accomplish anything....here i am making my music prooving the world wrong...so its pretty much my f**ked up child hood and my seemless effort of trying to be unique

I suppose I just have a need to create. It's that feeling "hey, this is all mine, I did it". When we leave this world at least we can look back and say "I did something unique. Nobody else created this exact piece of music". Feels good somehow. :)
