ive downloaded all but 2 of the packs on the original list on the first post....GREAT stuff man....you could easily charge money for this stuff...but your giving it away for free, very respectable...much thanks for this stuff.....im one of those broke musicians you were talking about in an earlier post....this stuff is gonna be part of the heart of my setup as soon as i get it all mapped out to my keyboard...which im havin problems with cuz im sampler illiterate, im more of a VSTi/vinyl chop type guy...but, ima keep downloadin till i got em all..and thats a huge task...im on dial up!!!
btw, where is this stuff at on kara-moon website??? i want the packs u put on rapidshare also....but i've been using a ownload program where i can pause them and pick it back up later due to the size of them, and thats not possible with rapidshare...

almost finished the vibraphone patch for k2, with key switching [c1 to d1] and release samples activated via sust. pedal.
here:
http://www.sendspace.com/file/886xky
(place it near to the "ERANS VIBRAPHONE" folder)
I added a little shelving eq (insert fx) on very low freq to remove rumble.
use internal amplifier's pan to mix close and distant mics.

I want to map these things for wusikstation, but the filename convention isn't really helping. It would be handy if the waves contained note information in their name.
From what I understand the files originally distributed are meant to used in reason. Can I somehow extract the mapping from the "not-wav" files in those zips, or do I need to get my guitartuner out?

for most of the samples the guitartuner would help only so much. I would admire anyone who would get it done that way(except for some of the smaller banks). The best way to get them to work is to translate them with something like chickensystems but i dont know if they have to wusik translation. I really wish I could help there but the naming of the samples was automatic when cutting them up because of timesaving. I'll look in to it, but as a bandaid I will soon share a kinda ok(but not as advanced as the trombone) saxophone samplebank for you.

Ok.
Maybe just try to get note info into the names of future things you sample. They will make mapping this out a whole lot easier. Most mapping utilities have an automap feature which works with info out of the wavename.
I'll let you know when I have mapped something out.

updated the cello lofberg for K2.
keyswitching [g5 to c6]
sustained articulation has two high layers: diminuendo (modwheel down) & crescendo (modwheel up)

(place it near to the "ERANS CELLO LOFBERG" folder)
eventually I'll even tune the whole patch. but if there's any K2 user willing to help...

I'm going for the handcrafted route.erans wrote:..The best way to get them to work is to translate them with something like chickensystems..
K2 is supposed to have nn-xt support, but doesn't load correctly patches using sample-alternation, it doesn't alternate samples at all.
the no. of alternated samples per zone or layer must be fixed in k2 and can't be random like in nn-xt unless you make dummy/clone notes.
sfz seems to use a sample-alternation engine similar to the one in nn-xt which is a tad simpler yet more effective.
