Anyone tried the new free KORE Player yet?

I've tried it and it's pretty good, but the cpu hit means I won't be keeping it, some patches are 60%+ on my now humble P4 2.0. It's not much use to me I'm afraid.
RIP Black Tom and Beckett. They weren't just cats, they were MY cats, the best cats ever.

Yeah, it is a cpu hog- I had to run asio4all just to get smooth playback (didn't have that issue with other apps). For a small free rompler- it is pretty cool, but I couldn't imagine using it for live performance with it's heavy cpu load.
Hopefully they streamline it a bit- definately interesting but still doesn't make me want to buy a korepack yet (although I would love to hear how the Organ one sounds to anyone out there beyond the demo's they gave).

tried it, there's a few decent patches in there.
Will likely sample the few decent ones, rip the samples, and then delete

What are you using for a machine? And, what sounds are you loading? The Massive sounds are pretty heavy on the CPU, as are a couple of the Absynth ones, but they're still reasonable.

When I'm doing a tune these days, I usually just stick Channel Grabber or the GR recorder on Kore's master (I use the full version of Kore 2) and record live to a stereo mix like that. I can usually have say three or four Reaktor instances and a couple of Absynth loaded into Kore without going over maybe 60% CPU on one core...

I like the '57 Drawbar a lot more than I thought I would. The way they use a Kontakt multi with different registrations and the percussion as separate instruments and then just balance the levels is wonderful.

I was a little skeptical about buying the 57 Drawbar but I needed a Hammond.
It's actually really good and plenty to tweak beyond the presets.

I think that their marketing strategy worked on me - now I really want to get one of the Kore soundpacks - which one should I get?

What are you looking for? I've been liking both drum ones a lot, and the Massive Expansion has some cool things in it. Then, there's the big band stuff in Kontakt Sax and Brass, and some cool remapping of some older Absynth stuff, and... they're all good

Is the also a CPU hog if you only use the Drawbar expansion? I quite liked the demo sounds of that one.
Every time you use autotune, God kills a kitten.
Please, think of the kittens.

It's not supposed to work with Synth1. Did you download it, install and authorize?

I don't find any of it to be that much of a CPU hog myself...

The '57 Drawbar runs anywhere from 6-11% CPU on one core on my machine (a 4600x2) depending on how many notes I'm playing...

I'm especially into synths... I have over 2,500 vst/i and most are synths... yea, I know, I'm sick!
