Bring on the SynthMonster

I'd like to ask about the engine quality - when I turn it to 3x and go to next preset, it resets itself to normal mode.

Is this a mistake, or is it done on purpose?

As in Massive you can set the quality to be forced to your setting, or you can set it to be set each time you change preset as it was saved in the preset by the author.

It might be even good idea to implement it this way in here too - if it's not done already and I just missed it.

PS: I love the Galbanum waves, their collection is the best thing on market!

PSPS: I'm looking forward to see the new GUI too! I hope it will be at least as good as was in the first version! As of the synths quality - the concept is great and it looks like a small revolution in the VSTi concept - but as I'm in lack of time and missed last few betas, I can't judge yet if it's not just great concept. At this moment it looks like it has too many pages and the workflow might be too slow - on the other side, if I'm able to make for myself some variations of the synth like some VA few controls and throw out what I don't need, on the other side I can have the complicated wavetable synth with lots of controls - well...as I'm theorizing again instead of testing deeply the abilities, this is really dragging my attention...this might be something!!!

I wish you this synth proves itself to be as great as it looks it could be, as KV331 is one of my favorite company, thanks to the free version of Synthmaster 1 / later the commercial too /, which was a great present and I was returning to it again and again, though I had enough other great synths like Alchemy, Massive, or Absynth...It had it's magic to it, I was using it for specific sort of bright metallic arpeggiated sounds which I couldn't recreate with the other synths.

So, I hope this will be another synth, which could bring the attention even when surrounded by such synths as the ones I named.

It's not a bug, it's a feature! Engine quality is saved per preset. We might also define a global quality which is saved by default when saving presets?

We'll be providing many different "interfaces" (not skins!) in the coming months.. It's just a matter of time for us to show the potential of SM2...

i think, everyone who will checking the demo some minutes will see how much potential the synthmaster has

but the best feature is, i think, the flexibility, usefull for really all genres! Perhaps you should rename it! From synthmaster to synthmonster, this would be more suitable

I guess the name change was proposed before...

Now that Synth Squad is out KVR will be "overflooded" with posts about it. I really hope there will be enough "space" for Synthmaster 2 !! The demo should be an advantage but maybe a "hype" is about posting 10000 audio demos and making people go crazy by that.

Any ideas for a Synthmaster "hype" so far ??

I'm a bit concerned about one aspect that's been mentioned, which is the embedding of UIs ('skins' if you will) inside presets. While I realize that it is a cool thing to be able to present only the critical control set for a given preset, I'm hoping it will not be something where a user virtually has to recreate a preset to get it to display with additional controls or a different look-and-feel.

Not to mention that when/if I build/download a UI that I like, I'd hate like hell to have a downloaded preset/bank go in and kick it to the curb.

So...will it be possible to 'lock' the UI when loading presets?

Hi folks,

We have a new release

This new version 1.9.9.12 has the following updates:

1. NEW: SynthMaster VSTi Demo is introduced in this build

You can download it from:

EDIT: For installation, just extract the archive to your VstPlugins folder, and you're done!

2. UPDATED: We updated the user manual, now it is 22 pages

3. NEW: Starting with build 12, SynthMaster initializes the wavetable/waveform caches when it's run for the first time. By this way, we reduced the archive size from 40 MB to 3.3 MB, which should be faster to download!

4. NEW: Wavetables are now categorized.

5. NEW: For wavetable oscillators, waveform/spectrum can be displayed, which should be very useful when sequencing waveforms!!!

SynthMaster 2.0: VSTi/Standalone v1.9.9.29: Last build before "official release"
