Like a fly preserved in amber, Catching The Waves has survived the aeons to bring you yet another rather iffy review of some good free music.

I just thought you should know. :D

Oh noes, it's another grammatical car crash of a review of a free album from Catching The Waves, the world's laziest free music blog. Somehow, I can't look away... :D

If you're up for some extreme ambient to review: http://phase47.bandcamp.com

Love to hear your take on it.

Thank you for alerting me to your music. You weren't kidding about the extreme! You probably won't be surprised to hear that I enjoyed Drifting Through The Wreckage the most out of the three albums. Although I respect your intentions, it must be difficult for all but the most committed ambient fans to cope with the unbroken 52-minute and 49-minute stretches of Mercury and Presence respectively. However, it's always difficult to strike a balance between artistic integrity and audience accessibility.

I found Drifting the most palatable by far and was impressed by the recording's fidelity; the mix is enjoyably spacious. If I may venture a criticism, the music might benefit from a little more movement: most of the tracks shared the same structure whereby one dominant sound morphed into another. Perhaps a change in structure, dynamics and timbre could prove more intriguing to the ear?

Note: Remember that I'm an anonymous idiot. :)

Thank you for taking the time to contact me. I enjoyed listening to your music. Here's to more!

Forgive the bump, but I thought I'd place a quick reminder that there's a new review of a free album at Catching The Waves. It's unusual for me to post reviews in quick succession... you'll be relieved to hear. :D
