These are updated globally, so whatever is on esoundz will be on downloadablesoundz.

What about my question on the last page? Is everything currently in our download area the version 2 stuff? Are the files named something a little different so that we'd know this?
Also, a suggestion for the next board meeting. My download areas on both downloadablesoundz and esoundz are now quite long. Perhaps you can get your tech guru to create subfolders for each product. I.e. a folder for everything from the last group buy, a folder with everything from the Ocean Way collection, a folder for ProFiles drums, etc. This would make it much easier to manage.
Cheers

Great suggestion BERFAB. I have three pages to my user area, though I have trouble figuring out what is different about page 2 and 3. It seems to have the same stuff but maybe a few more items or something.BERFAB wrote:Also, a suggestion for the next board meeting. And Allen, it is great that you have fixed the red checkmarks... although I still have some red checkmarks in my user area even though it has been reset.
I do wish that there was a way to mark everything so that the new stuff would be more obvious. It should probably actually work in reverse (or with an addition). How about a green checkmark beside anything new that has been added? It could either disappear, or turn red once you have downloaded the item once.

Same here, pages 2 and 3 show mostly the same as page 1 except for the last 20% or so of the page. Why not show it all on one page anyway, most of us can scroll quite happily.zedd wrote:]I do wish that there was a way to mark everything so that the new stuff would be more obvious. And yes, it is difficult to tell what has changed. If every item had a release date on it that would help. Together with a running Release Bulletin listing the changes. For updates it could say:
a) either download the complete item XXX, dated dd/mmm/yyyy
b) or, if you already have item XXX dated dd/mmm/yyyy, download the the update file(s) AAA, dated dd/mmm/yyyy, BBB dated dd/mmm/yyyy
etc

Yeah, there are a bunch of things that need to be worked out on that... complicated but we'll get through it. It's a complex system.
As far as the updates though for DM1 to DM2 MT kits... I think we're just going to post the new patches in the support/download area of Sonic Reality.com I will let you know. We've actually updated a lot of the DM MT kits to have the new DM2 ones already if you were to redownload them. But they're not marked yet and the descriptions are in the process of being updated... ran into a few tech things that we're solving tomorrow and then we'll carry on with it. Almost all of the DM2 Platinum Kits are done and that's pretty cool!

All of them will be but that one isn't available yet. It will be by the beginning of next week though.bruckner2 wrote:I have the DM 1 NDV Roto and Timale MT kit (the one with only the rotos and timbales). Has this one been updated to DM 2 ?
thanks
In the meantime, we've made it really EASY to just update the patches for many for the kits from DM1 to DM2. You can just download it from SR:
http://www.sonicreality.com/support/
But, remember you DO need to obviously have the kit samples of the DM1 kit that are associated in order for these to work... they're just the patches and they show up in their own folder hierarchy that is different than DM1.
Enjoy! Thanks for waiting. More kits coming.

Fabulous!! Installed without a hitch! Just going through the kits now and loving what I'm hearing!Squids wrote:In the meantime, we've made it really EASY to just update the patches for many for the kits from DM1 to DM2. You can just download it from SR:

I do like having these DM2 Multitrack kits. That extra bit of flexibility in fine-tuning the kind of sound I want (versus the limits in the STm kits) is really important to me.
Glad to notice that kits are loading quickly. That pause to load the DM2 scripts (which I had been noticing with the Ultimate Studio Drum kits) is virtually gone now. These MT kits are loading fast! I guess I should make sure I have installed the final USD update, since you probably fixed the loading time in those as well.
Bravo!

Is there a fix to the loading time? I am pretty sure i have the latest GB patches and still have the slow load time. Will check the new patches Monday when back from Disney World

I think that you need to make sure that you have got this file:
Studio ProFiles Info 01-04-2010
and installed it (using the Library Installer)

I installed the latest Infinite Player from my account at esoundz and, hey presto, there it was. Had to restart Kontakt though.

We're updating ALL of the kits and grooves - multitrack and stereo (most of them already are) and we'll update all of those info pages (whew a lot of stuff!) and then start making the various Artist Packs available which are bundles of all of their kits or all of their grooves in either stereo or BOTH multitrack and stereo (if we have them... for Gadd and Bruford we only have stereo although we HAVE located the Gadd multitracks so that may be released at some point in the future! We also have midi from Bruford that will be released at some point and all sorts of other cool things coming).
