As I stated earlier, I'm fine with customized skins as long as you make it obvious it's not the original version.layzer wrote:yeah i can, the knob demensions are 36 x 3492 PNG file withnix808 wrote:Hey Layzer,

Oh great!
Layzer, i would like to use these knobs-

The tb303 style.
Would you like to implement my knobstrip?
What colour do peeps want?
Is it alright to mark the skin-
Acid Recall Visual
Does that identify it as 3rd party skin?
Actually dark flat green sounds good to me,
I'll make the strip

The green has got to go..........layzer wrote:my idea.
btw, this is the actual modified DLL. i can share it with the permission from Mr. Karrikuh
I prefer the original.......just make the background customizable so everyone can find a color they like......
I hate green........see above...........nix808 wrote:Actually dark flat green sounds good to me,

I get a kind of uneasy feeling with you guys hacking the dll. Seems disrespectful even though the Dev said he doesn't mind....still seems a bit rude......
I can see working with the Dev on the GUI but working around him seems wrong.........just my opinion......

I mean no offense.
karrikuh, if you would prefer to maintain control of implementing skins please let us know.
Hmm, I mean not a lurid shade of green Teksonik, like a dulled off matte.
What colour would u like?

I posted the color I would choose earlier in the thread but the point is that no color is going to please everyone which is why I suggested a system similar to Synth 1 where the user can choose the color that suites them best and I think karrikuh was considering implementing such a system.nix808 wrote:I mean no offense.

no disrespect at all, I did mention in my post that the modified DLL would only leave my PC if K allowed it. I wouldn't feel right sharing it without his consent. I respect his hard work on this vst and only wish to contribute to its development.Teksonik wrote:I get a kind of uneasy feeling with you guys hacking the dll. 'Substance' name is already taken.
Bebop don't like so much and Rebel, there is another Rebel2 from Klangformer.
More names.
Tremor, due is VA and you can make oscillating the LFO with a delay.
Vibrastone.
Storm or Xtorm.
SoundVibe, Soundviber and Sandviber.
Well gotta go to work, have a good day
I would prefer Charism, without the last A. Or even Schizm or Schyzo.karrikuh wrote:From the above names, I prefer CHARLIE.
My own suggestions:
CHARISMA
BEBOP
REBELL

Ok, I decided on a new name for Charlatan. It will be
"Berserk"
I think it fits the personality of the synth quite well. Unless someone convinces me that it's totally inappropriate, the new name will come into effect with the next release. Thread title will be changed accordingly.
