What bugs are you getting in SC2? I've never had a problem with it.

Hm, I tried it running normally now and it works fine, so I guess it was something related to REAPER v3 and fixed after v4.. The trouble was if I can remember switching patches.

Thank you Dwringer for your hints.
But this would be more work than fun! And the OSC should be for fun and recreation.
I am more interessted in the idea from V'ger. I do not want to buy a second DAW. Is there a reasonable freeware DAW available?

Haha, I find myself coming to agree with your perspective as time goes on, having been unable to complete my last project without using Reaper.
If you get the evaluation version of Reaper, it is unlimited in functionality with the caveat that you are required by the license agreement to purchase a license after 30 days of use. This is not enforced by the software, however you are reminded every time you use it. Much like compression/decompression software, come to think of it.
Reaper does a lot, and I find it to be fast and rock solid in performance. Takes a little getting used to, however.
Plus it's not very expensive to buy the full version, either.

That's the best list I've seen yet, but as Dwringer says Reaper demo is the full working version and as Gunnar stated, Minimogue was developed in that DAW so is the best bet for hassle-free operation. Full personal license is anyway only $60 but there's also Reaper v0.999 for free.
Podium seems to be the highest regarded full free DAW although I've never tried it, but I see DarkWave Studio is also updated often so worth a look too.

Current Minimogue versions was saved in SE 1.2028 beta 3. june. I saved all versions with Synth-edit 1.2031 today, and the beta itself was released today. It has a couple of fixes, but not any particular fixes for parameters changing and FL-studio.
It is uploaded to the www.home.no/gunnare . If you want to check that you have the right version, then just right-click on the GUI, and it will say SE 1.2031.
If I have many bug reports I will switch back to stable SE 1.1.
The extra versions with Andrew's new zero delay feedback filter has also been updated. Andrew asked me to say that it is 99% based on the work of Teemu Vopio aka mystran,
And it is not non-linear, only zero delay feedback.
All the best

Haha, that is the spirit. I appreciate such enthusiasm, and the input you and so many others have provided on my tracks - and each others tracks. This place is amazing for learning what is possible with what I used to think was such a limited palette. It's almost enriching my understanding of what music is in general, which seems too good to be true.
With all that out of the way, here's another submission.

Yes, thanks for the help. It does not work on my machine. I get the same error message. In good faith I just released the instruments. Well, I am going back to the stable SE 1.1 tonight, that should cure all problems (or almost all). Of course with no oversampling. Will upload later today.johnrule wrote:I keep getting an assertion failure:gunnare wrote:Current Minimogue versions was saved in SE 1.2028 beta 3. june...If I have many bug reports I will switch back to stable SE 1.1.This is on WinXP (SP3 32bit - AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual). Thanks a lot for all betatester reports.
Please do not download the Minimogue version I released yesterday. They have a fatal error. And if you want to keep oversampling, then just keep the versions you have installed on your computer.

Thanks for the hints and the list. I think I will take a deeper look at Reaper for a second DAW in future.V'ger wrote:That's the best list I've seen yet, but as Dwringer says Reaper demo is the full working version and as Gunnar stated, Minimogue was developed in that DAW so is the best bet for hassle-free operation. In case people still want to oversample. Try this free plugin from Experimental Scene.gunnare wrote:Yes, thanks for the help. It does not work on my machine. I get the same error message. Antialias.
I think it should be the same thing as that oversampling feature on Minimogue.
Although i don't know what aliasing is (or i never noticed it).

New MinimogueVa and Luxus versions uploaded. I went back to the stable Synth-edit 1.1899. This versions has no oversampling. I hope they are stable in all hosts. They will load projects that used the new oversampling versions, but you will get the error message "11 parameters could not be loaded". Just click OK, those 11 parameters are not used by the older version, so the patches will load fine. (At least the do in Reaper).
Remember to copy both he dll. file and the folder with the same name when installing.
For the special TD versions with Andrew's (and mystran) new zero delay feedback filter I moved back to Synth-edit 1.2028. This versions have oversampling, but might be unstable in some hosts FL-studio, and we have experienced that some parameters suddenly change value when using oversampling.
Tanks for all the help to debug SE 1.2!

Thanks, but would it be an idea to have both versions available as downloads?
And by the way, in the synth's about box it says v2.2 when on the plaque it says 2.3.
