For my current stuff the amps dont suit but they are great. The Slash cabs make all the other cabs in Amplitube sound terrible got to buy the Slash cabs.

I have a DM-3. Bucket brigade, yes, same with the DM-2. It was one of my best used gear purchases for $30 back in 2001 or so. Now those things sell for $120-$200+ on ebay. Hours of fun when you tweak it. It's very dark feedback tone too. Not good for clear repeats, but if you want spacey or dubby. I have not heard a software delay that sounds like that yet, at least in the clock noise artifacts it generates and adds so slightly to the feedback signal.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:Seems like an odd one to cover. I don't remember that one sounding particularly good or bad enough to be interesting and I had one at some point. In fact, what happened to that? I don't remember selling it (oh well).
Now, one of Boss's earlier delays was the DM-2. I'm not sure if it was a bucket brigade delay or what, but that thing was capable of some cool sounds when turning the delay time knob. Would have loved to have seen that one.
In fact, here's a schematic. Have it at:

It's not for adults either .. is there a way to remove the sophomoric stupidity from the grill?

I like the sound of that delay pedal quite a bit. The blue box is pretty strange... but I already have a few ideas that would make good use of it. Smart Gate works damn good. Probably the best noise gate I've used in an amp sim... I'm used to having a gate/expander plugin first in the chain for handling that stuff. Chorus/Boost/Wah will have to wait until later to test
The amps are pretty solid. I'll be busy messing around all day with this stuff, I'm sure. Good update.
[Edit]: Ahh psh, take it up with Slash if you don't like his design all you complainers~ It's how the damn thing looks.
Why do I get the feeling that the people mentioning that have done far worse things to people in reality (sexual or not) and they're overcompensating by making a big deal out of nothing? Ahh, must be imagining things

Yes, Slash and Marshall did release a cab that looks just like that and we do like to be authentic when it includes the branding/logo of two MAJOR forces in the industry. I'm hoping there's some understanding that when you have Slash and Marshall giving their blessing to put their logos on your models of their gear most people would say YES.
For the more modest, I suppose it isn't the optimal mic placement for most people but if you want to sacrifice sound for modesty you could do this:

These are Slash's personal cabs made special for him by Marshall. You can't buy them, though you can get the 1960AV and 1960BV cabs which are the same inside, but cosmetically different.

Of course we knew there would always be a few people who would complain, but the number of people who would complain if we gave Slash's cabs short shrift would have been greater, and most importantly to us, it just wouldn't have been Slash's authentic rig without it.
TL;DR: Deal with it.

Yeah, this delay pedal is cleaner than the others, without nearly as much analog rolloff. The Bluebox is strange indeed. But that is how the pedal is! It is very glitchy, and gets more glitchy as the signal level drops. It has a hard gate that kicks in when that happens.Kontrast13 wrote:I like the sound of that delay pedal quite a bit. I love the SmartGate. I've been wanting one in the Stomp section since the AmpliTube 2 days. The improved gate in AmpliTube 3 made the need a little less urgent, but it's still a must have if you're doing real high gain stuff that's real touchy. It instantly improved my Dueling Rectifiers preset. I'll have to update it in the Preset Xchange with the new Gate.

IK ... can you please get rid of your opening page at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/ That blast of noize plays on my nerves. Otherwise, I'm good with Slash's 'juvenile' taste for tits and ass. No complaints here.

Yes, I don't think I can share my thoughts as I stated them to our CEO on the erratic nature of the ol' Blue pedal there... I like the pedal, I just really wanted to know if people would get how absolutely chaotic it could be. I felt a bit of the same with Fender Blender though you actually have to push that a lot more to get it to be absolutely bratty and unruly.
Oh and if you want to retain your mic placement but have a spare kitty around you could always do something like this to help with the cab graphics:

This one is more analog so I had to use a more fierce kitty to cover up Brian's pic:

OK. Must. stop. kitty. photobombs.
