diva filters + analog drift in Zebra.

please don't do this, I don't want to have to buy this synth.

I'm guessing the code snippet is, in fact, a red herring, and U-He will be releasing its first FM synth next week.

And/or Diva will be updated with a D-CAM-like mod matrix.

Whatever it is, I sure the end result will be my head exploding.

...especially if it's that latter option. [drool]

Maybe an interface/bridge between Zebra and Diva, to send the Zebra sound to the Diva filters. It could be interesting.

...Oooorrrrrr... Diva will be getting a wavetable oscillator type. ...No, no, that would be too awesome. Couldn't be.

touchdigitalcontrollers made a hardware controller for Diva? [jumps up and down] Did they? Did they?!? [gets out credit-card]

Ha! No replies in over 20 MINUTES! ...On KvR? Not possible. Clearly I'm on to something.

Something Urs tweeted a few days ago:

Code: Select all

@BrontoScorpio @tasmodia Thanks guys... we'll also have a very special bank for Zebra coming up... merely a trilogy...
Maybe another hint? :)

Cheers

As you would expect, we'll draw a winner of the thing from anyone posting here.

HZ Zebra? It's a special version of Zebra that makes creepy sound effects with insanely loud epic tribal drums, and apparently has Diva's filters?

This is clearly a Diva filter module for Zebra :hihi:

The code is a diversion. Clearly we're about to witness the long-awaited Wooden End Panels upgrade for Zebra. There'll be a free upgrade to laminated plywood, but you can pay extra for forest-friendly Brazilian rosewood.
Textur for ACE
After Hours for Lounge Lizard EP-4
Prism Sticks for Chromaphone 2

zvenx wrote:well all along you said HZ had loaned you his minimoog so that you can include some of its filters in Zebra..... so I guess you made a special version of Zebra for him that you will include for the rest of us now? And he used this Zebra in Dark Knight Rises?

That is a good guess, all true, but not the full story :)
Haha! Just as I suspected! Watson, bring me my Zebra ....

Post

My guess is that you have included diva filters and global parameters into Zebra.

So now you can also load Diva's presets in Zebra :)

Personally I'm quite happy that Diva and Zebra are two separate products. Their sound and workflow are very different, which is good. The big Mega-modules suits the Diva concept better. It makes me feel like I really am taking the oscillators of a Minimoog and sending them through Jupiter 8 filter. Breaking Diva up into too many small, non-descript modules would kind of ruin that feeling. Zebra on the other and has never been about emulating a particular synth, it was always a modular playground with generic (but not generic-sounding) modules.
