We would love to release a re-mastered version in the future. Its in discussion but I don't have a date.

Thank you, Simon for your help getting an update for the Timewarp2600. I look forward to installing the newer version.

As I said, I think this program is now in good hands and am looking forward to seeing where you guys take it. As has been mentioned previously, this plugin was very good overall. But I think Jim must have been overwhelmed with being the creative force AND trying to do customer support and running a software company at the same time.

There was some discussion of Timewarp vs. the Arturia emulation...

My take on it and also with some people I have discussed it with is that overall, the Arturia seemed to have more of the initial fun factor, especially given the sequencer. However, in the long run the Timewarp seemed to give a better impression in terms of offering the more authentic experience when compared to the original hardware.

YMMV.

I personally never owned an ARP2600, but I did spend a lot of time with one in school and I've had a lot of 'real' hardware synthesizers since that time. The ARP2600 was one of the first real synthesizer experiences I had when officially learning about synthesis and electronic music. Our school's lab had an ARP2600 and a Moog Modular.

About TW2600, i forgot to say about one issue that noticed long ago (related with S&H Rate slider), but now found quick way to reproduce it, so:
- just load TW2600 and see to startup preset "BirdlandBass"
- remove all (both) patch cords
- switch AR SH Gate two-position tumbler (in AR envelope section) to low position (S&H Gate).
- you hear no sound
- then just touch or slightly move S&H Rate slider (in S&H section), and sound immediately appear.

The fact is that i began to notice that some of my tw2600 presets which i save together with daw project, after re-load project become sound incorrectly, I began to find out the cause, and found that if slightly move S&H Rate slider, then preset again sounds as it should be.
It was also in the older (ilok) TW version, and seems not fix yet.

This is the only bug that I have found at moment. In the rest, latest version quite stable for me (did not have any crashes yet, win7 64bit), love his sound.
