There's some whiny biatches here. Aww your amazing technology doesn't quite work with the newest amazing apps? That came out today? It's great. It will sell tons. Your negative non constructive points are moot.

AND audiobus is currently #2 in paid apps music category in the US! Only behind GarageBand. Great job guys, congrats on all the hard work. Something like this is really hard to develop, know that there are many of us who truly appreciate what you guys have accomplished. Thank you.

Wow, that Lofty guy's a classy chap. He's posted a really nasty one star review on the App Store, despite the Audiobus developers taking the time to talk to him in this thread. I was so annoyed reading it, that it brought me out of lurker hiding to post!

Strikes me as fair comment that the health warning should come before the more button I bet a lot of people never even press that.

Sunrizer doesn't work on the iphone at all though regardless of audiobus sunrizerxs is the phone version and it doesn't mention that as working (yet)

Lofty, to be fair, just because Apple offers a product for sale does not mean it is capable of running every App ever made or sold in the store. Just like I wouldn't buy a 3 year old entry level Macbook Air and expect it to run Logic with 8 instances of U-he Diva, you shouldn't expect to buy a 3 year old (free with contract) phone and run 3 or more realtime audio programs at once.

Audiobus is for advanced users with powerful devices like iPad 3/4 and iPhone 4S/5. By definition, you are going to be running at least 3 programs at once: Audiobus, source, and destination, so you need a LOT of CPU power.

Back to my more extensive testing last night:

I figured out that Reason works really well if you sync it to the external MIDI clock coming from Loopy HD. Now I can use Reason to run an 808/909 drum track, and Sunrizer (it shows up now - not sure why it wasn't showing before) with SoundPrism Pro to play synths over the top of it.

It works flawlessly, however, I did have to quit all of my running applications before it would play without pops or glitches. This is pretty amazing - being able to run 5 different audio programs at once in realtime.

Feature Request - Allow multiple chains so that I can have one device going to Loopy and another going to Multitrack DAW, etc.

Lofty, you might want to consider editing some of your posts. It's not really fair to Sebastian and the devs that put in months of hard work on this app to have one of the very first posts about it completely trash it just because it wouldn't work on his 3 year old device, when the devs even warned about it in the App description.

The Audiobus team has been completely above board here, yet a scathing negative review on the first page of the KVR thread might turn people off from trying the product, when it would work fine for them.

How would you like it if someone came into your place of work and started shouting at the top of their lungs "that Lofty guy does crap work and should be fired!"

I'm pretty sure he meant "Rebirth."

Sorry, yeah, brain fart. I meant Rebirth-RB338... Man, if Reason came out on iPad I'd be in heaven... lol!

If it turns out that Audiobus just does not work in any shape or form on iphone3, ipod touch3&4
Just tested Audiobus + Soundprism Pro + Loopy on an iPod Touch 4. It seems to be working fine: recorded 3 separate sounds / loops from SPP -> Loopy. Playback is good. No crashes. Device is running iOS 6.0.1.

Peace,
Andy.

A few years ago (about two), everyone was bitching about a lack of decent MIDI on iOS, and only a handful of apps were doing anything. In short order, there were lots of updates and new apps, and it's now a vibrant community.

I think the same thing is going to happen with Audiobus. I'm working on code to add it to my apps, and I'm sure a bunch of other devs are doing the same. The SDK is brilliant, and what Michael and Sebastian have done is awesome. Before their work, all the apps were little sound islands; there's a bridge now, which is really useful.

The negativity here is downright freaky.
Would love to see a stripped down version of Midi control midi player at one end links to synths going into audiobus one per channel
And then controlling the output device in AB to start recording as soon as the midi file starts playing

As for the negativity I guess it's more just frustration and disappointment, I'm sure it will get better but for now it's kind of a damp squib I think
That's exactly what we're working on... IMO, tight integration of MIDI sequencing with Audiobus recording (and audio playback) would be useful. I'm expecting to drink a lot of coffee over the next few weeks.

I tried something similar last night: Audiobus + Soundprism Pro driving Thumbjam + Loophy HD on iPod Touch 4. Switching apps is a tad slow -- more RAM would probably help -- but it worked.

I can also confirm that Sunrizer XS (that's the iPhone/iPod Touch version of Sunrizer) is being updated to work with Audiobus. Meanwhile there's NLog MIDI Synth (which really is the Swiss Army knife of iPhone synthesizers: it can serve as an effects unit and it can serve as a bridge between SoundCloud and iOS audiocopy).
