Boring is the new cool

Seriously though - if you get the time to whip up anything I'l be happier than Cartman.
Quick demo usin a progression, turning the arp on/off, and then reversing up part of it

Edit - updated demo, switched up some stuff so now it has 2 lines powered by cthulhu running it. The first is the occasional high twinkle sound. The second the main line with the chords, then arp. Both diva. Drums just added for perspective

sorry if I missed it, and I couldn't tell from the video, but with respect midi input is this a mono or poly midi effect ? i.e what happens when you input 2 or more midi notes ? thanks

The chords module is mono in, the arp input is of course poly so you can disable the chords module and send your own chords to the arp.

Hi there,
I just read through the website and listened to the demo above. And click it's in my cart :-)
Nice idea, nice price.

i see. any plans to make the chord input poly ?

i understand chords with each key triggering other chords could quickly lead to noise, but I think with careful usage it could be fruitful. I certainly already have a virtual tonne of personal midi clips that would be suitable

i'll wait for the trial version, cheers

munchkin wrote:Anyone know how to get this to work in Reaper 4? Tried to control a synth with it but just get a sine tone. Checked the manual - no Reaper walkthru.

Usually I just insert an arp that I want to use to control a synth in its own track and then send the midi signal to a synth on another track. Couldn't get this to work. :?

It also crashed Reaper. :( Great idea but confusing.
Just tried it here, and yea it worked like every other arp plugin. I just put it in line before another, diva in this case, and it worked as expected. Just make sure to load up a chord or arp preset first
Ok thanks, after a bit more experimentation I've got it to work. It's a fun and versatile effect. Well worth the price imo. If you like arps and pattern generation FX then you'll probably love this.

I remember having no problem with Orion and Kirnu and another arp I don't remember. I don't remember exactly how to set it up since I don't use Orion anymore but you insert the arp like an instrument, then you insert your synth and there's an option to "receive midi from" that you must choose. Try to experiment and ask in the official forum. If you really can't find anything I'll download the demo and tell you exactly, but try yourself 1st.

The above works with some midi generating arps but I've found it much easier and more reliable in Orion to load DDMF's metaplugin and use midi generating plugins from within it. Cthulhu is working really well with Orion in metaplugin here.

Last time I used an arp in Orion I got it to work but it was like the timing glitched.

I want to use Orion more but for now I'm infected with the reaper virus...

Will this allow a simple midi learn of my own chords? assign them to different keys to be played back on single notes via midi controller? I could see this being very useful if so, by assigning tough chords to say my Korg nanopad and fire them off that way if this is possible, anyone in the know?

I don't own it, and the trial isn't out yet, but yes I believe that is one of it's key functions.
