This is one of the best soundsets for Synth1. Another impressive proof for the potential of Synth1.
Thank you for that!

i was actually stunned too, to realize what i was squeezing out of this little gem in certain cases, especially on this preset... not that it sounds anywhere near to a real choir, but, yeah, i exactly know what you mean... that's what i initially meant when i said, it's not the sheer features that do the synth, but the way they work together in conjunction with each other... there's quite some synths that have way more features, sound significantly better, but do somewhat fail in that regard...logicgate wrote:Thank you!
There are so many good patches in this set, but the one that really amazed me was number 47, Female Choir. Who knew Synth1 could do THAT?
intentionally or not, this to me is the real strenght of synth1.

Anyone who has tried Nolwenn's Dark Choir patch from Ann Bank 3. Actually that patch and Brok's Female Choir layer really well together.........logicgate wrote: Female Choir. Who knew Synth1 could do THAT?

One of the great joys I've had over the years has been to layer 4 or 5 Synth 1's together and just play for sake of playing....not worried about recording or if anyone else is listening....just for the pure joy of playing.
Even though I own almost every synth from Albino to Zebra2 I still have a love for the character and soul of Synth 1.......long may she live.......
Anyway thanks for the patches Brok.......

Just to chime in here and say "thank you, Brok".
I know you've been fiddling around with that synth for years now. And I'm impressed. "Not the quality as your commercial synths" - I beg to differ. This is one of the (IMO) best(!!!) Synth1 preset packs I've heard so far.
Oldschool, yet modern. They definitely don't need to hide or anything. Can't be trance all the time, now can it?

Or, you could say just : BT !! (Big THANKS !!)Compyfox wrote:Just to chime in here and say "thank you, Brok".
I agree.Compyfox wrote:I know you've been fiddling around with that synth for years now. And I'm impressed. "Not the quality as your commercial synths" - I beg to differ. This is one of the (IMO) best(!!!) Synth1 preset packs I've heard so far.
It just proves (to me at least) that ANY synth - at the right hands - can be a MONSTER of a synth. usable to no end, sounds just as a HW machine (or at least close enough that it can be augmented by a few plugs to make it sound as big, as phat, and as powerful as any synth you can think of).
Big THANKYOU, BT !

Been playing with the sounds a bit now and they just transform the synth. Best Synth1 bank out there no doubt, pads are phenomenal.

thanks, this is the biggest commendation one can put on me. if one says that he couldn't believe that it's "that" synth he's hearing when listening to my presets, then i did contribute something outstanding at least, which always is my goal, but i don't seem to achieve it every time...V'ger wrote:Been playing with the sounds a bit now and they just transform the synth.

Wow, that is some impressive sound from the demo of the bank. Very surprising. I've always loved synth1, but this really seems to bring the possibilities of what it is capable of to a whole other level.
The dirty rhodes/ep was SPOOKY good. DAMN.
