According to the OP if you vote for MPathic you're actually voting for MPhatic. MPhatik and other spellings would still be possibilities if MPhatic (MPathic) wins. However it appears most everyone voted without knowing any of this.

That makes no sense whatsoever. Empathic and emphatic are two totally different words. For instance, "I empathically sensed you were emphatic about this new synth."

It was a typo in the poll and you can't change it without resetting the votes.
