Eclipsis

Because I already made a couple of patches for Eclipsis I decided that it is time now for creating an empty bank and so I did it. For the case that you are interested in to get it, you can download it here:

Eclipsis Blank Bank

I changed my Init preset a little bit. All Oscillators are routed to Efx1 now (at my first Init Preset Oscillator 1 was routed to Efx2 and I found this a bit irritating) and it is a bit louder now.

For the case that someone needs further instructions how to save presets on the empty bank, here it is:

- Load the Init bank (with the yellow framed "File" button),
- Create your own preset,
- Mark/Select the first slot of the bank,
- Name the preset (with the yellow framed "Name" button),
- Save the preset (with the yellow framed "File" button),
- Save this all as new bank with any name you wish for it.

Have fun :D

@TrojakEW: Thank you so much that there are "only" 75 slots

New preset bank is almost finished. Here a small preview of 7 presets ( French Horns, Strings, Brass Section, Pad Dreamworld, Pad Chillout, Synth DistortedDrive, Synth SquareWobble).

Only soft limiter added to avoid clipping. 68 out of 75 are done :tu: .

:tu: Top class, I look forward to the preset bank.
:tu: All is good

WOW :tu: again, cant wait to get my hands on this second preset bank :hyper:

On one hand It is the first synth EVER where I feel able to just try something out for myself just by mixing the different wavetables and using the presets files for the things I dont understand or just use the random button.

And on the other hand the greatest USABLE presets ever......

You can hear the love you investigate to make synth AND presets in EVRY preset.

With the second bank I just have to make a song with only Eclipsis and maybe some additional drums.

Thank you so much for this great Treasure !

Kind regards,

Richard

@TrojakEW: Coooooooooool :tu: I have to check out how you made this great strings. I also tried but mine is.....ahm not so well

I guess I`m more talented for to make some weird and more rhythmic stuff :D It seems that imitations in general work well with Eclipsis. Oh and I tried this Arpeggiator/Sequencer or however you wish to call it and I think that is really great and a very nice concept because one can use Osc 1 - Osc 3 or Osc 1-Osc2 or one can use just one single Oscillator and that allows one to make many different sounds and imitations of different instruments in just one patch. For example Strings, a walking Bass and Percussion all in one patch or 3 different rhythmic sounds in just one patch and so on and this is something I find extremely cool. This opens up a lot of possibilities. So: Whatever brok landers said about the Arpeggiator (that it wouldn`t be one) I don`t mind because I have already enough Synthesizer with "real" Arpeggiators but I have none like the one in Eclipsis and I find it definitely cool and it makes a lot of fun to play around with it.

News awaiting approval but new preset bank is UP :D . So go and try it for your self.

Wow you are so fast. Okay you have won the race

Thanks a lot, the presets are all great. My favorites are the Imitations and also those Arps like Arp_DanceZone and Arp_SpaceOpera they show well what is possible with Eclipsis. Arp_DanceZone is almost a whole song!!!! LOL. That`s just great :tu:

I guess I should hurry up a little bit so that I could add mine until the contest lasts  I will try, but I can`t promise. At the moment I just have got 20 Patches and originally I wished to have at least 50 (better 75) for making a bank. Maybe I will upload them in parts.

Congrats by the way. I see Eclipsis is the "Synth of the month"

Thanks much man! Also, I wasn't expecting the "donation thank-you" gift you had sent me, very very classy indeed.

Hm.........let me consider..........the prize is that I allow you to develope the next Synthesizer    What do you think about Eclipsis 2 with 6 Oscillators and Distortion and Equalizer added to the effects??? 8)

Now I have got 28 :D Means: Hey I`m damned busy with producing patches, because kvr could not wait with this contest 3 months longer :x

But that's the nice thing about the contest: there will be plenty of new patches after. :tu:

Anyway, I'm pretty sure your patches will be really helpful to the contestants - your init patch and init banks have already been so helpful!

At least if TrojakEW and me are not the only ones who make some

Thanks for feedback. I hope my patches will be helpful, but I must confess that they are partially........ahm, very experimental 8)

But a couple of them are "neutral" lol. I intentionally make different patches than the ones TrojakEW made, for example Drums like Kick, Snare, HiHat and other Percussions, because the contest rules say that they only may use Eclipsis, but they shall make a whole song only with Eclipsis and so I supposed a couple of Drum and Percussion Sounds would be "helpful"

Apart from that I`m focused more on rhythmic patches and Arps, because TrojakEW already made enough Atmos, Pads, Imitations and Efx and so on. I try to fill the gaps. Until now I have got 38 :D
But a couple of them are still wip. I hope that I can finish at least 45 - 50 patches in the next 2-3 days and then I can upload them. But don`t expect perfection under this pressure ( :x )

You can call me the programming machine :borg:

But for the rest I will take my time. I hate it to work so fast. I just do it because of this contest.

Nah, I'm pretty sure some guys will make their own presets available to everyone. :tu:

Experimental is good: some crazy FX can make a track stand out, hehehe.

BTW, I've uploaded some quick drum sounds I created yesterday and posted on the OSC thread: if anyone would like to check it out, the link is: http://www.mediafire.com/download/tet5j ... _Drums.zip
